My story

This sweet face is Jett. Jett is a 14 week old cattle dog mix. While we don’t know his exact mix, we expect him to be 35-45lbs full grown. Jett shows the most cattle dog-like traits of all of his siblings. He looks the most like a cattle dog and is energetic little boy who likes to be under your feet. Jett seems to be the most laid back of his brothers, he loves to lay next to his people and take a nap. We recommend a fenced in yard or lots of walks/play time. He has been around larger and smaller dogs and kids of all ages. He is doggy door trained which has eliminated all indoor pottying. Jett is ready for his forever home!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm tested negative ( puppies age 7 months and older) and microchipped. A puppy's adoption fee is $350. There is a $5 fee for credit/debit cards.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
