My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

John Dory is fostered in Caledonia Ontario.

Hi there, I'm John Dory! I'm a little guy with a big heart. I'm as sweet as a puppy can be, always ready to greet you with a friendly wag. I'm gentle too, and I love a good cuddle. I'm curious about the world around me and I'm eager to explore it with you. I have a mellow side as well, perfect for those lazy Sunday afternoons. But don't be fooled, I'm playful when the mood strikes! I can't wait to find my forever home where I can share all this love and joy. Why should you adopt me? Because every day with me will be an adventure filled with love and laughter.

John Dory is full of energy and thrives in an active household with plenty of playtime. Johnny loves fetch (hell drop the toy right at your feet!), playing with other dogs, and chewing on his favourite toys. Hes also fantastic with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a great fit for a family with a playful pup companion.

At night, John Dory turns into a total cuddle bug - he loves to snuggle but is also crate-trained and settles in quietly when needed. Hes well-mannered and a quick learner.

John Dory is looking for a home with another dog who enjoys playing and a family who will take him on walks and adventures. He may need a couple of days to adjust when moving into a new environment, but once he settles, he will shower you with love and loyalty. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, and all-around great pup, John Dory is the one for you!

Additional adoption info

R.E.B.E.L Dog Rescue is looking for committed adopters, ready to bring a rescue dog into their life. In order to ensure that we find the best homes for our dogs, adoption applicants must go through an adoption approval process. We receive a number of applications for each dog and only one will be chosen as the successful candidate. Candidates are selected based on the dog's needs. Not being selected for the dog that you applied for does not disqualify you from adopting from us in the future.

Go meet their pets

We do our very best to place our dogs into adoptive homes before they arrive into Canada. This ensures that they have a safe and loving place to go after their long journey up North. All dogs adopted through R.E.B.E.L Dog Rescue will receive a 15 day adoption probation period. This period starts the day the dog enters the care of the adopter. This means that the adoptive family has 15 days to determine that dog is a good fit for them. Although it may feel scary to not meet the dog before adopting, the 15 day period allows you to get to know the dog within your home. If you buy a dog off of Kijiji or at a local shelter you may be given a couple hours to meet the dog. We believe that our program's 15 day probation provides much more insight into how he or she will fit into your home, rather than. a brief meet and greet.

More about this rescue

R.E.B.E.L Dog Rescue was founded in 2020 by a small group of young women with one thing is common: a love for dogs. Since establishment, RDR has successfully found forever homed for over 700 dogs. Our mission is to rescue dogs in dire situations and give them a second chance at life through education and empowerment. All of our dogs come the streets and shelters across Texas, where they are experiencing a dog overpopulation crisis. Our team has travelled to the State to see first-hand how we can help and make a difference in the lives of animals.
R.E.B.E.L stands for: rescue, educate, believe, empower and love dogs. We live by these words every day and encourage the dog-loving community to follow suit!
