Meet Desmond!! He came in as a stray on 10/24/23. We think he is about 2 years old. He is is still a little scared to be here. We couldn't get him to smile for his pictures. He is very food motivated because he is another heartbreaker who is way too thin. He seems like his past hasn't been the best. He deserves a chance to find a wonderful family where he will be loved and cared for. He is available for adoption so hurry in to meet him!
Desmond is neutered, heartworm/lyme negative and current on his rabies.

The best way to contact us about general questions including specific questions about our shelter dog(s) or puppy(s) is by email. All adoptions are $199.00. Adoptions include the following: Vaccines, microchip, Current dog license, spay/neuter, de-worming medication.

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.

The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
