Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Turtle is a very large, very sweet boy, who loves nothing more than to play and be with you once he settles in!
He may take a few days to settle in but is full of cuddles, play and love once he gets to know you!!!
He does great with other dogs in his foster home, is non reactive around cats, and is doing great with crate training.
Since he is just a youngster still, he will need a family with lots of patience and willingness to work with puppy training to help him gain some confidence and skills needed to become the best canine citizen he can be!
Please know, Turtle has had a super tough go of things in his short life- prior to coming into rescue, he sustained a serious eye injury which went untreated until it was too late and then he had to have his eye removed. Then, while hospitalized for his eye, he contracted parvo, which as successfully treated as well!!
He is doing fantastic now in every way!!
He has recovered from his eye removal surgery enucleation) and parvo (and is well past any shedding period) and is a vibrant, robust, sassy, spunky boy!!!
He is growing like a weed, loving life and while he is thriving n his foster home, he can’t wait to find a forever family of his very own soon!!!
Due to his size and sheer puppyness, we recommend a home with older kids or no kids, as he may easily knock down small children by accident.
Can you open your heart and home to a one eyed pup with a tough past and a big heart??
We are guessing he is a boxer/mastiff/bully type mix of some large sort, but who knows!!
