We found Nickel as a stray in rural South Carolina. He walked out of the forest and walked straight up to my 3 children who were playing in a family members back yard. He was so sweet to them and he stayed and played for about 30 minutes. We noticed he had two large cuts on his neck, most likely from a collar. They were open and infected. We were not looking for a new dog, but knew we needed to take him to a vet. We ended up taking him an our vet and getting his wounds cleaned and stitched up, all his shots up to date, neutered, and microchipped. We are taking care of him while we find him a new home. He would be a great addition to any family.
