Meet Brienne, the gentle giant with a heart as big as her stature. At 6 years old and weighing in at a whopping 120 pounds (give or take a few— a lady never discloses her weight!), Brienne is a loving soul who’s experienced the highs and lows of life. Sadly, she was surrendered to animal control when her owners could no longer care for her and the many animals they had. But despite the hardship, Brienne remains as sweet and trusting as ever, ready to find a new home where she can continue sharing her love.
Brienne’s journey took an unexpected turn when she had a medical emergency related to her stomach not being tacked. After a careful procedure and recovery, she’s back on her feet and ready for her next chapter. During this time, we've discovered something important: though Brienne has always shared a bond with her best friend, Cadette, a 9-year-old cattle dog, both dogs have proven they are fully capable of being apart and thriving on their own. While they are deeply connected and share a kennel here, they no longer need to be adopted together, and each is ready to find the perfect home for themselves.
Brienne may be towering in size, but she’s as sweet and gentle as they come. Despite the difference in their sizes—Brienne’s 120 pounds next to Cadette’s petite frame—these two have always been perfectly matched in spirit and devotion. They share a bond that is unbreakable, but each of them now has the chance to bring their unique energy to a loving home of their own.
If you’re looking for a gentle giant like Brienne, full of love, resilience, and warmth, she may be just the dog you’ve been waiting for. She’s ready to offer her strength and tenderness to the right family. Will you be the one to give her the forever home she deserves?
