My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are searching for a great family pet who has the most soulful brown eyes, look no further! This gentle sweet girl is the answer and her name is Glory.
Glory adores and worships kids and wants nothing more than to be near them. Her best days are spent running along side them, sitting under their chair and laying next to them as they play. She is mellow, laid back and loves being at home with her people.
Glory is potty trained, knows “sit, wait, potty and go in” (come inside or go into a room). Currently, she does not use a crate, but would  revert to it easily. She sleeps in a small room with a gate simply propped at the door. A harness is used when walking her and she needs to improve on not reacting to other dogs. Not one to play with toys much ( unless taunted by another dog to tug), she loves bones, treats and kongs. At times, Glory may try to leave the house without permission.
Glory has lived in a house (and yard) with a variety of visiting dogs and a “ sister”. She has no experience with cats and the barking of small dogs makes her nervous. She should not be homed with small animals.
If you are looking for your new best buddy, you have found her and she’s waiting to go home with you! Glory is up to date on vaccines, h2 negative and spayed. Apply at forrescue.net

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! Our dogs are mainly fostered in one of our many experienced foster homes. All of our animals receive rabies vaccine, distemper/parvo vaccine, bordatella, microchip, and spay/neuter, as well as being kept current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. All of our dogs come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting, as well as transportation to your area.

Our rescue doesn't have an actual facility in the New England area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! Our transport service is certified through the USDA. We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things do not work out. We try hard to make good matches with our animals and their adopters so that everyone has a happy life together! Our foster homes love the animals in their homes and will fully disclose everything about them – some can even Skype or send videos for you to see them in action.

We can provide references from other rescues, previous New England adopters, and our veterinarians if requested.

Go to www.FORrescue.net and click on "Adoption" and then "Applications" to apply for the animal you are interested in adopting.

Please email us at info@FORrescue.net with any questions you might have about FOR or our adoption process.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
