My story

Bowie's former owner could no longer care for him so now he's at the shelter at the most important stage of his development!

Bowie is a super fun, incredibly playful, sweet guy.

He will thrive in a home that can provide plenty of exercise, fun, and cuddles, along with positive training and reinforcement.

He's working on perfecting his leash skills and four on the floor.

Bowie's smile and energy are infectious!

If Bowie's the one for you, then come meet him during our walk-in hours Friday and Saturday or by appointment Monday through Thursday, 11-3. Adoption fees are $50 and include microchip, neuter, and all up-to-date vaccinations. Adoptions are always free for veterans.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).
