Lilo and Odin were found wandering the streets in our neighborhood, and we did not want them to get hurt, so we managed to bring them to safety. We took them to the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility, where we discovered they were microchipped. We were thrilled to reunite them with their family, but unfortunately, when we tried to return them, their family said they could not take them back due to health issues plus their father having cancer & an autistic child.
Since we already have dogs, we can not keep them, but if we did not have pups we would keep them in a heartbeat. After having them for a few days we took them to the shelter, but when we got there, we were told it’s unlikely they’d be adopted together. Knowing how strong their bond is, we could not bear to separate them. After much consideration, we have decided to try rehoming them ourselves, looking for someone who is ready and able to give both a loving home.
