My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Look at this sweet boy, Kappuccino!  He came to us because his owner lost his home and sadly, had to surrender him due to relocation. When he arrived we noticed he was also a front pawed polydactyl (has extra “toes” on each front paw).  Super special! This is also known as a Hemingway cat. Unfortunately, his previous owner wasn’t able to give him the care he needed and Kapp suffered from severe ingrown nails on both paws which was causing him excruciating pain!  Which understandably, also caused him to be very agitated and upset.  We immediately took him to one of our awesome vets and she was able to take care of the most severe injured paw by removing 3 extremely long nails that had imbedded into his paw pads. This took less that a week to resolve his infection so that she could then do surgery on both paws to actually remove the nail on the extra toes. He still has his "mittens" but now no pain and has blossomed into the most extraordinary, handsome sweet boy you will ever meet! He gets along with other cats but would prefer a human to love and be with always.  His beautiful blue eyes shine and reveal the gentle soul that he is.  He melts when you scratch his ears and head too! Kappuccino doesn’t like to be picked up and held, (which is normal with everything he’s gone through) but will sit with you and be with for hours just for your company.  If interested in being this boy's special someone, be sure to get your application submitted quickly.  Once you meet him you will fall in love!

All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer.

You can meet some of our adorable cats and kittens during store hours at PetSmart, 385 Haggerty Rd. in Commerce Township.

If you are interested in adopting one or more of our lovable cats, please complete an Adoption Application form which can be found on our website at   www.locrami.com under Forms/Applications.

More about this rescue

We branched off of another rescue group in Oct of 2015, in order to concentrate solely on cats and kittens. We are a 501c3 foster-based group of dedicated volunteers, and our mission is finding homes for stray, abandoned, no longer wanted cats and kittens. We are a foster-based Rescue, meaning we have no brick and mortar facility. All our cats are cared for by foster caregivers in loving homes. We give medical help to sick and injured cats as needed. Donations, grants, and adoption fees are our sole means of income for our group. Volunteers are always welcomed and needed.
