Meet Montra – Your Loyal and Loving Adventure Buddy!
Montra is a 3.5-year-old male Siberian Husky with a stunning red coat and striking bi-eyes. Weighing around 60 lbs, he’s looking for a stable and loving home that truly understands him.
Montra is a cuddle bug who adores belly rubs and snuggling up on the couch or in bed with you. He is house trained, though he may need a little work with occasional marking. He’s not crate trained but can be trusted alone at home without being destructive. He does well on a leash and knows how to sit like a good boy!
Due to food resource guarding, Montra needs to be fed separately from other pets. He loves kids, but because of his obsession with food, he would do best in a home with older children who understand boundaries—or no kids at all.
Montra is a highly intuitive dog who reads and mirrors the energy in the room. He can become overstimulated and may redirect his energy onto nearby dogs. He currently lives in a multi-husky foster home, where he gets along with some dogs but tends to bully the older dogs. With the right introductions, he may thrive with medium-to-large dog siblings, but he would also do well as an only pet. No small dogs or small animals for this guy.
He is medium-energy but will benefit from consistent daily exercise. He is strong and would love a hiker or someone who wants to teach him to land mush or bikejoring. Montra needs a confident, husky-savvy owner who will build a strong bond with him, have patience with him, and give him the forever home he deserves.
His foster family adores him, but due to the dynamic with their older dogs, they can’t keep him. If you think you’re the right match for Montra, apply today to learn more about him and his history.
Currently fostered in Sacramento.
