Looking for all of the pittie cuteness in a pint sized package? Little Percy Perseverance may be the pup for you!
Estimated to be a year and a half old, we think Percy is a Pittie, Staffie mix. At just 26 pounds, he’s a certifiable member of the Ittie Bittie Pittie club! He is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed.
Meet Percy here: https://youtu.be/z1o3hVUOTUg?feature=shared
Our favorite thing about Percy is just how dog friendly he is! This guy has helped socialize a handful of “behavior dogs,” dogs that need a little assistance reintegrating into doggy society. Percy’s superpower is being just the friendly face they need to see, matching their energy well and being that hospitable young man that can open their hearts again. An example of this comes to mind with a dog named Banjo- Banjo can get really excitable and overstimulated around new dogs, and jumped on Percy quite a lot. Percy handled it with grace and ease, and understood when we corrected Banjo, we weren’t correcting Percy. Percy is a perfect pup with other dogs!
We’ve had the chance to see Percy interact with some more socialized dogs as well, who he handled with the same amount of comfort and ease. He met a happy, dog-friendly and stable male named Drizzle and they became the best of friends quickly! They played Chase and shared affection from humans well. When Percy met Willow, a squatty, slower little Bulldog mix with a heart for play and tennis balls, they got along swimmingly as well. Percy shared a tennis ball with her easily, and even slowed down his play when she slowed down hers. He’s so dog friendly, it’s amazing.
With his humans, Percy can be such a love! He adores his humans, a few quick pets and he’s in your lap kissing you. This guy is perfectly lap sized too- a perfect little couch cuddle companion for anyone looking to be adored.
Percy is still a puppy in his heart of hearts, learning the ropes every day, through this we’ve gotten to see his “learning style.” He is a seriously fast learner, and improves at lightning speed! He’s easy on leash, and even does well tandem walking. We haven’t seen him have indoor accidents, and we’ve noticed him go potty quickly when given the chance outside. He’s super smart and takes correction really well, and will learn for treats! Safe to say, this guy will be an enjoyable pup to further train, and he has serious potential to be a very well trained dog.
His bags are already packed, he’s ready to go home with you! We think Percy would love a home with another dog, but he’s so loving with his people that an only dog home could suit him well. Just Percy soaking up all of your affection? Sign him up! Percy is unfortunately not recommended for a home with kitties, he was a touch too interested in our housecat Biggie. Percy would likely prefer a home with some outdoor space and no close quarters neighbors- room to stretch his legs and play. We are willing to test Percy with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
