Winston is a loving, loveable, and energetic adult dog. We adopted him in 2014, when he was <1 year old. Unfortunately, he is protective and doesn't like strangers (particularly in his house). He has nipped "intruders" (mailman, handyman) with his small front teeth (never a full-on mouth bite), so he no longer gets to meet "come-and-go" visitors. When a new person IS introduced to his house (eg an overnight guest), he gets used to them after a period. This usually takes an evening/night of them staying at the house. After that he will be their best friend and is very snuggly and docile. Winston does not like small children, which is why we need to rehome him (baby on the way). However, he does get used to teens well, and when he does warm up to older kids, those kids seem to really enjoy his snuggly nature. Winston gets along very well with his little brother (chihuahua mix). He loves to play (wrestle, chase), and is quite gentle with his brother, even when they're really roughhousing.
