We are hoping to rehome our beloved Luna, who we've had for 7 years. She's well behaved and responds well to our usual commands; however, she's become a danger to our other dog. We adopted Luna at the age of 6 months from Ruff Start Rescue in mid 2018. At the time, we owned another Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier (SCWT), who was a 1 year old male. They became instant friends. When she was about 3 years old, she attacked him over a treat. We worked with a behaviorist who diagnosed her with anxiety and prescribed gabapentin; however, she also advised us to keep them separated when playing with toys and when feeding them. As hard as we tried, she's attacked our other dog 5 times over the past 4 years. We feel she is best in a home with no other animals and probably no small children. She is very sweet, loves to cuddle, go on walks, run in our fenced-in yard, and chase out the bunnies. She loves her kennel and will automatically go in her kennel when she observes that we are leaving.
