Hello there, I'm Memphis! I'm an active 4-year-old pointer/ hound mix with a heart full of love. I'm sweet as a sugar cookie, and just as addictive. I love to play, tossing toys around and chasing after them with a goofy grin on my face. I'll keep you laughing with my silly antics. I'm the perfect companion for those long walks in the park or cozy nights in front of the TV. I'm a loyal friend, always ready to lend a paw or a comforting presence. I believe life is a game, and I'm ready to play it with you. So why should you adopt me? Because I promise to make every day brighter, every moment more fun, and every heartache a little easier to bear. I'm ready to be your forever friend. Are you ready for me?

More about this shelter
The Animal Control Division is dedicated to providing the best possible care and help for all the animals of St. Johns County. Every member of our staff strives to deliver conscientious, quality care to the animals and responsive, professional service to our citizens.
Field Services: Our Animal Control Officers are here to protect both the citizens and the pets of St. Johns County. They do this by enforcing the laws established by our County.
Pet Center: The Pet Center has an excellent staff that feeds, waters, cleans, and medicates the animals in our care. We have veterinary technicians that process every animal that comes through our door. The animals are looked over thoroughly, scanned for microchips, and given needed medications. The Pet Center has a wide variety of dogs and cats that are looking for a loving home. We encourage you to bring your family and your “furry” family members to interact and ensure a good fit.
