Cricket is a resilient and playful 5â€Âׄ-month-old puppy with a heart as big as her journey. She was found as a stray and brought to an emergency vet, where X-rays revealed that all eight of her toes had been dislocated—likely from a bad landing off something high. As a result, she spent weeks (or longer) walking on her wrists, causing painful blisters and discomfort.
Thanks to braces, physical therapy, laser therapy, and water therapy, Cricket is now on the mend! She is expected to make a full recovery and live a happy, active life with no long-term issues.
Cricket is a bit shy at first and needs time to warm up to new people and pets, but once she does, her silly and snuggly personality shines through. She currently lives with four foster siblings and loves to play, nap, and be her full puppy self. Her DNA test results are on the way, and while she’s currently 15 pounds, she’s expected to grow to around 30â€Â㦞 pounds.

This pet is available for pre-adoption and may not be officially ready for adoption, as it is still undergoing medical treatment. Depending on the medical status, a Meet and Greet may be put on hold until they can safely participate in a meeting with potential adopters. In some cases, this pet may be able to move to its forever home while it is still under the medical care of Dallas Pets Alive.
