My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Play-doh!

Play-doh entered Los Angeles Animal Care and Control - Lancaster as a stray who looked like he hadn't been well cared for in quite a while. His coat was in poor shape, he had pressure spots, long nails, and very worn teeth with multiple fractures.

When Play-doh wasn't claimed during his stray hold, we scooped him up to become a Frosted Face on March 14th.

Play-doh is estimated to be around 8 years old, and he weighs 37 lbs. He is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we are so happy he is getting lots of well-deserved TLC in the comfort of a home.

"Play-doh is doing really well in a home environment, and he continues to decompress in a quiet space. He is the sweetest boy and has the smooshiest face!

Here's what else I've learned about Play-doh:

- Has quickly become comfortable with gentle pets.
- Loves to walk on soft, grassy surfaces. I got him grippy socks that seem to help with slippery surfaces, and he doesn't mind wearing them.
- Sleeps through the night in his crate (with door open) or in the dog bed next to my bed.
- Is independent in the home, enjoys relaxing outdoors, and puts put himself to bed at night.
- Will not get on your furniture.
- Has no separation anxiety. He is non-destructive in the home.
- Takes medicine easily. Mixed into his food or in a pill pocket.
- Hasn’t had any accidents in about a week!
- Very food motivated.

Play-doh is non-reactive to other dogs at FFF. I don’t have any other pets, so we're getting together with a friend’s dog and her cat to “cat test” him - stay tuned!"
