My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fergus, a charming adult dog who has made the shelter his temporary home. He`s the epitome of friendliness, always the first to greet newcomers with a wagging tail and a friendly bark. Sweet by nature, Fergus is known to melt hearts with his gentle demeanor. He`s a great listener, a comforting presence, and a joyful companion. Fergus loves playtime and enjoys the simple pleasures of a good game of fetch. He`s also a quick learner, always eager to please and show off his new tricks. Despite his current situation, Fergus remains optimistic, his spirit unbroken. He`s the perfect example of resilience, showing us all that every day is a new opportunity for happiness. His unwavering positivity is contagious, making him a beloved figure in the shelter. Fergus is looking for a loving home where he can share his joy and love. Adopting Fergus means gaining a loyal friend who will cherish every moment spent with you.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
