Animal Profile: Eric is a 4 month old, male Shepherd/Terrier X (guessing), puppy who will be joining us along with his 3 siblings from Texas on 03/14/25. They were seized from a house where they were being kept in a tiny wire crate. Mom is petit around 35lbs.They are doing well in their foster homes, friendly with dogs, cats and kids, awaiting there freedom ride to the PNW.
Foster Update: Eric has quickly won the hearts of our family and kids, an old soul who melts into your lap with a puddle of cuddles. He pays attention to the energy in the room, and happily sits or lays nearby while we're working or in the kitchen, but is also eager to go outside and bounce around and wrestle and play with another foster puppy we have at home. The moment you sit on the floor, he'll come join you on your lap and rest his head on your chest. He's a total sweetheart who is eager to please and will do great with continued exposure to new things and people. He sleeps through the night in his crate (potty accident-free) and is doing great with potty training. He's still learning to walk on the leash, and feels more confident with another dog alongside to show him that everything's ok. He's truly a special puppy who will love his people with everything in him.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
