Animal Profile: Boone is a 4 month old, male Lab/Cattle dog X (guessing), puppy who will be joining us along with his siblings from Texas on 03/14/25. Puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into foster care with our rescue partner. He is a happy sweet pup, doing well in his foster home, friendly with dogs, cats and kids, awaiting his freedom ride to the PNW.
Foster Update: Boone is a very sweet puppy with a calm, gentle demeanor who loves to play with his toys, nap with his human, and is a quick learner. He is friendly with people and dogs, but cautious when meeting them for the first time. He's a good eater and food motivated and is picking up basic training easily. He loves to be held and cuddled and is very gentle when taking treats. He enjoys resting underneath my desk at my feet while I work and follows me around wherever I go. He sleeps through the night in his crate with the standard puppy potty breaks and always goes to the bathroom quickly and efficiently when taken outside. We're working on the usual basic puppy training things--walking on leash, being quiet in the crate when left alone, and building confidence while acclimating to noisy city life. He's an absolute sweetheart you can't help but fall in love with!
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
