My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Livi, she’s an amazing young dog who will steal your heart. Livi was adopted when she was just a pup, she’s been very loved by her prior owner unfortunately due to circumstances beyond his control he was no longer able to care for her. We promised we would find her a home as amazing as she is. Livi is just about perfect. Let’s talk about Livi, she’s a cuddler but is also content with sitting on the couch or her bed by herself. She loves to play with her toys and will constantly come and drop something on your lap for her to play. We play gentle tug of war with rope and chew toys, and she loves her squeaky dinosaur.
Outside she’ll chase a lacross or field hockey ball and return it to you. They’re the most durable ball I could find that she won’t completely destroy. I also have a football and a soccer ball that she’ll chase down and return to you as well. We’ve worked very hard to distinguish between her toys and what’s not appropriate for her to play with. A simple “Leave It” command will get her to drop anything from her mouth. That can be a toy, ball, baby rabbit (it was not harmed at all and was able to run off!!), or a bone.
She responds to the command “Livi Come” when I need her to either come back in the house or come back to me if there’s something I don’t want her to chase after. She also responds to “Stay” if I don’t want her to give chase after something. We’ve had deer, turkey, geese, and everything other woodland creature in our yard. If I say Stay, she’ll just huff and watch them.

She is house protective, meaning she’s a barker when anyone is in the driveway or entering the house.
She’s really good around other dogs and just wants to play!! She has a ton of energy and rarely has an off button. She plays very active, but not aggressively, and she tones it down for smaller dogs and puppies. She’s good around cats, wants to play, but most cats don’t want to play with her.
Livi is housebroken, crate and leash trained, loves everyone and every animal she meets. Livi will be an amazing addition to your home

Livi is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Northbound Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting primarily independent rescuers in rural North Western Mississippi. With many of these communities battling overpopulation, low local adoption rates and climbing medical bills, Northbound Rescue forms a partnership with these rescuers to assist them with medical care, fundraising, transport and rescue efforts in the Northeast.
Our vision is to help our partners in Mississippi get their animals proper medical care and find them their forever home in the Northeast.
Why we do it... every animal deserves to be loved safe and cared for, we are their voice.
