Hello! My name is Sasha and I am about 4 years old. I'm not quite sure what I am mixed with. Some of my papers say Shepherd and some say Labradoodle. That's a funny one because my fur is really short and definitely not curly. My fur is black and white. Mostly white but I have black freckles. I weigh 50#s. I'm the perfect size! My Mama had to move into a nursing home, and I couldn't go with her. I was so ready to go. I had my things packed up. I don't require much. Just my leash, collar and my bone - I travel light. But sadly, the nursing home said no doggies can come with. So, thankfully some nice folks at Hounds Town knew about me and helped out. I get to go there during the day and play with other dogs. Sometimes I have my sleepovers there too Hounds Town reached out to Treasured Animal Rescue and asked if I could be one of their Gems. They met me and knew I was a gem right away. I get more playdates & sleepovers. I'm such a lucky girl to have so many people helping me find a new home. I was sad when my Mama was no longer with me, but I know she loves me, and I loved her as best I could. Now, it's time for another family to love me. I'm a quiet girl. I like to be around other dogs. I love to sniff and explore. I walk really well on a leash, and I like car rides. I sit really well in my seat and watch the world drive by. I wonder what adventure I am going to. In my foster home there are other dogs and cats. I've met the dogs at my doggie daycare, and we are friends. The cats? It's still un-decided. The cats here are very "dog-savvy". They are used to dogs barking at them. The only time I bark is when I see one of the cats. I might chase them but I don't mean them any harm. Even though my foster home has cats it might be best my forever home does not have any cats. My foster home also has a fenced yard and my forever home MUST have a fenced yard. Even though I'm great walking on leash I will pull you to see that squirrel or rabbit and try to chase them. No fenced yard I can become a stray. I haven't been around kids so maybe we just say older kids for right now. I might jump on you when we first me. That's just me saying "let's be friends" and I'll give you a hug. I'm ready for my next adventure. I'm ready for a new family and a new home. Maybe my new family will have a fenced yard that I can walk around and explore. We can go for daily walks. At nighttime, I'll lay by your feet or maybe I'll have a dog bed. I will give you that unconditional love a dog gives. My Mama loved me enough to be sure I was taken care of. I think of her every day but she knows I'm a special girl that needs a family to see how special I am so they can love me just like she did. Can't wait to meet you! Love, Sasha Sashais located in our foster home in Aurora and also spends time at Hounds Town in Aurora. • Spay/neuter before adoption. If under 16 weeks, it will be coordinated with Adoptive family at one of our Rescue affiliated Veterinarian clinics. Treasured Animal Rescue MUST spay/neuter within 30 days of adoption date per the State of Illinois Animal Welfare Act (25 ILCS 605 Section 25.140

• Age-appropriate testing for heartworm/FIV-FELV
• Age-appropriate vaccines

**Note on fleas** Those sneaky little critters can hitch a free ride into your home aboard another pet, person, or even rodent, so it is important to make sure your new pet is protected. Depending on the time frame your adoptable pet has been in our foster care it might have had just 1 dose – which is not enough. Please consult with your Vet on putting your new adoptable pet on yearly flea/tick prevention – even if they are an indoor pet.
Adoption fees:
Puppies/Dogs - $400
Seniors - $275
**Some dog breeds require additional vetting which leads to an adoption fee to not adhere to the pricing guideline above. There are many circumstances where an adoptable pet has an adoption fee that varies from above schedule due to their vetting needs while in our foster care.
Cats & Kittens - $150
**Treasured Animal Rescue highly recommends adopting kittens in pairs, to avoid any potential behavioral issues like biting, scratching and not using the litter box. Also, adopting 2 kittens lessens stress on the tiny kitten which provides a healthier transition. **
