Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Prescott, AZ
Meet Gemma - a very sweet 4 year old, 11 pound Rat Terrier/Dachshund mix! Gemma is a loving little girl who adores squeaky toys and balls, and is always very happy! She is crate trained, preferring to sleep in her crate at bed time; she sleeps through the night without a sound. Gemma is fun-loving and very playful, but will quiet down easily and watch TV with her person as well. Little Gemma has a sad story to tell: she had both of her back legs broken by a cruel owner when she was just a little pup. Gemma has a pin in her left rear leg and a plate in her right rear leg, but it doesn't slow her down at all; just don't try to go through a metal detector with her! Gemma is housebroken when kept to a schedule, and would be fine with kids over 10. She is reserved when she first meets you, but after a few minutes she'll be your best friend! Gemma does fine with other dogs once she gets to know them, and she ignores the dog-savvy cats in her foster home. She does have some submissive wetting issues, but her fostermom is working on that, and Gemma's already much better than when she first arrived!
