Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Sam …
A stunning Black Lab // Boxer xx, she is 3 months old and we LOVE her !! She is smart and easy to train she is spayed and is using the doggie door here at our home 100% of the time. She is learning leash walking, LOVES to play with other dogs is quiet and well mannered.
Sammy loves to play catch, she loves to lay down and rest with you, she adores being held in your arms. She is being fostered with dogs and kids of all ages and sizes and she loves everyone. This is an EASY pup and she has a coat of hair that shines like the sun … these photos do not do her justice.
Sam came here via cargo plane from a high kill Texas shelter and is now happy healthy up to date spayed ready for her forever home here in the big apple. Ideally a fenced yard, another canine companion and a family with the time to do puppy kindergarten and basic training with this great pup is what we are looking for,
Is your home the one? if so, please complete the required application !! Thank you
“Paws” for a moment and read this listing completely !!!

The Adoption Facts:
1. You must be 21 years or older to adopt
2. We DO NOT place pets more than 100 miles out of NYC
3. An adoption application is required (link below)
4. There is a pre-screening process for potential home placement,
including a phone interview and the initial application. (This benefits you, our foster
homes and the pet.) This is all done BEFORE you meet the pet.
5. Be advised that we do respond to each and every completed application within
a 14 day period. Please be patient we know you are anxious to adopt
there are only so many hours in a day. We are trying our best. At this time we are
unable to respond to emails with questions (will he fit my home? Is he available? I have xyz will he like it here?)
We recommend completing an application after which we will be able to answer ALL your questions.
Go to http://www.northstarplacement.petfinder.com for more information on the adoption guidelines.
Do not send e-mail inquires concerning availability, if you see a pet listed at the web site, then the pet is definitely available.
