Jade: 5 yr old chocolate female, to be spayed 11/11, docked tail and uncropped ears. 10", 10 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Jade is a lovely chocolate female found as a stray, and not only did she get lost so did her owners, who never came looking for her at the shelter. It took her rescuers 3 days with hot dogs to earn her trust, and bring her into the shelter, so no clue how long she was on her own. Her coat is a little rough, but with good food and care it will be beautiful again. She got along well with the rescuers children, who are very dog savy, but as a precaution, children over 10 would be best. We had no problem earning her trust, she has made herself right at home on our laps where she loves to be, or curled up right beside you in bed. Jade does get a little growley with the other dogs who try to horn in on her lap space, take her food, or steal her toys, but a quiet quick verbal correction stops this immediatly, and she shares her lap space & snuggles. She did have an accident in her crate during feeding time, maybe from being kept in a crate at the shelter for over a month, she did not think she would be going outside, but she is very smart and got the doggie door right away, and has had no other accidents in the house. She does know sit, and raises her little paw for an extra plea for treats and love. Jade is a very calm & quiet min pin and would fit well in a home where she would be the center of attention, and she would love for you to be her whole world. Jade will be available 11/18/11 after her spay, she wont last long, so if interested please fill out an adoption application & email Joyce to find out more.
