Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A better photo will be on the way but I wanted to get something up right away!
Nikki is a sweet, sweet girl. She came out of a home that had too many dogs, mostly pugs, so she is good with big and small dogs, cats, and seems to be doing okay with my chickens.
She has probably had little or no training but I suspect that once she bonds to you she will be very eager to learn and please. She is nervous in new situations but curious about things. I think she will bond quite strongly to her new owner and be an amazing companion. It will take her a little time to trust you completely (probably a few weeks/months) but you can see she wants to bond.
Nikki has very strange leash skills - some minutes she acts terrified of the leash and other times she walks perfectly on it. I highly doubt that she would come when called if loose at this point (I won't be trying to find out) and she will easily hop a baby gate so a sturdy 5ft fence is absolutely required. I would rather not place her with young children because I don't know that she has had any experience with them, and I think she might be unnerved by their unexpected movements, loud sounds, and occasional less than polite interactions. I feel it is better to be safe than sorry, though I have seen absolutely no sign of any problem.
If you are looking for a very smart, loving, highly trainable dog that can be active or mellow depending on the situation, will be your best friend, and is a great size (about 40lbs) Nikki is the dog for you!
