Princess is a very sweet dog and is very well trained but she needs discipline as her first priority or she can be a bit over protective of her family or whomever she is attached to. She wants to please and is very obedient and never challenges her owner when told what to do. She is extremely obedient and very loving to the family. Too loving and protective for a family that is very large and diverse in ages with a significant amount of activity going on constantly. She does have a hard time controlling her urge to protect and "guard" her nuclear family from unknown or even people that she knows as a part of the extended family. Princess is large, over 100 lbs. - very beautiful black brown brindle. Princess has been with the same family since she was a puppy. Princess has also lived with a small dog and gotten along just fine together so she may be able to live with anoth dog or 2 and a cat but we are not sure about cts. Princess is very smart and learns quickly. I think she should be with an active family who will give her things to do and continue to reinforce rules and structure, which she already has because she has been very well trained since she was a small puppy and listens well...she just gets protective when there's alot of activity or unknowns involved. Princess would do great in a situation with a mature male or female, possibly a family with older children. Princess gets along fine with several children where she lives currently that range in age from 4-24 and a very large house full of people often so Princess has a high tolerance for instability, she just doesn't know if she needs to protect during this time or chill andlet her master let her know when she is needed. The right person will connect and flourish and Princess and that person or family will have a great dog. Princess just does best in a setting where she knows exactly where she fits in. Priness is active, smart and needs an active family or person that will give her a great quality of life.
Princess is spayed, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas & ticks and is up to date with all her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $300.00 and she'll get one free exam at one our participating vet's offices, one free month of pet health insurance and will be microchipped.
