Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chihuahua (Apple Head)
1 1/2 years young
3.5 lbs (needs to be at least 5 lbs)
Male / Neutered
Oh Jacques did you get L-U-C-K-Y. While at Downey pulling Mama Marley and her pups, I noticed a teeny tiny little thing curled up on the corner of a neighboring kennel run. I was trying incredibly hard not to look at any other dogs (I wish we could save all of them…).
Well, I was weak and went over to check out this tiny dog. He was so scared, sad, freezing, shaking, hip bones and rib bones distinctly protruding. His kennel card said “CAUTION” and was underlined several times — a death sentence to an already petrified dog.
I immediately found a staff member and told them I wanted to see this scared dog. He carefully picked him up and handed him to me. He was so frail — just a bag of bones with big doey eyes. Despite being absolutely terrified, he was sweet and just wanted to curl up in my arms. Hands down this dog was leaving with me. He is now named Jacques and getting some much needed TLC.
At an emaciated 3.5 lbs, he needs to gain more than 50% his body weight. He seems to like other dogs, though he is currently living separately until he gets some much needed rest and recovery.
