**Lars 3 yr old min pin/chi/terrier mix male

Lars was a street stray who adopted a lady who walked her 2 little dogs. She was afraid he was going to get hit by a car and feared that neighborhood teens were throwing rocks at him because he was so skittish. She was finally able to catch him and he was taken into foster care with Homes for Pets. He was full of ticks and licked his rescuers hands as she picked them off of him. Lars is like the energizer bunny and likes to talk to you about his day. He has a unique raspy bark and boundless pizzazz. He doesn't like to be crated and although he protests, he is crated without accidents while his foster mom is at work.

Lars always likes to know where his people are so he isn't left out of any activities. He has a fun and feisty personality and a high metabolism and weighs between 20 – 25 lbs with long bouncy legs. He has a very sweet face and would make a great companion for anyone who needs a little spice in their daily routine. He does know how to rest from the zeal and zest of life and will sleep soundly on the floor by you, or take a nap next to you on the couch after play time.

Lars is used to being on the streets and is learning the rules of housebreaking. When he can’t be watched closely he wears a belly band to help train him, so he will need a little more work in that area, but he’s smart and will catch on quickly.

He loves to play with toys, but can sometimes be bossy and not all of his foster brothers and sisters appreciate this side of his personality.

Lars has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and is on heartworm prevention. This boy needs a family of his own who will commit to his care and never let him be homeless again. He’s grateful to be learning what it is like to be loved and protected.
