Story
****** COURTESY POST - THE DOG IS NOT AT THE SHELTER******** Daisy is a lovely dog, I believe she is loving and caring unfortunately the problem is that she is scared of everything. I have another dog who pee’s randomly when she is stressed or scared and she stays in a corner most of the time and does not get along with my other blue heeler. She needs a home where she is the only pet she also overeats and starves and I think my other blue heeler and her have had an impact this week where they do not get along she needs a home where she is only paid attention to. Email kendrymolina@yahoo.com to learn more.    All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Female basset hound mixBella’s owner, who has provided good care for her, needs to surrender Bella because of her increasing work responsibilities. Bella is a 49-pound spayed female, approximately 6+ years old and is a basset mixed with some other breed. She is up to date on all her vetting, house trained, microchipped,  and is in good health. Bella is shy and fearful of strangers, at first, but after warming  up, she loves attention and affection. She is hesitant around other dogs, slowly becoming comfortable and might play a little, but otherwise keeps to herself. Bella pulls when on leash and barks and lunges at other dogs when on the leash with her owner. She is best with dogs of similar size or larger and has never had issues with other dogs when attending day care. She has no experience with cats nor much experience with children. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 12:34 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Beautiful Olive was much loved in her previous home, but is looking for a forever home, through no fault of her own. Recently, the health of her current owner has caused Olive to return to GGBR. At only 7 years old, poor Olive has already outlived two owners and one doggie companion! No one can blame her for being insecure! Olive readily uses a doggie door. She is a playful, active little gal who gets along with other dogs and enjoys her walks. Olive does not take well to being left alone and will cry and howl. Her anxiety also sometimes causes her to have accidents in the house. It is unknown whether having a doggie companion in her next home might help with Olive's separation anxiety. Her foster home has several dogs, and Olive does well with them. Olive is a timid and nervous dog, who is particularly fearful of men. She is good with women, kids and dog-savvy cats. She has chronic allergies for which she has seen a dermatologist and she takes medication and eats a special diet. Olive has recently been diagnosed with a heart murmur, which requires no medication or special treatment at this time, but which should be checked periodically and should be mentioned to her veterinarian, if she ever needs to be anesthetized. If you have an all female home with the patience to help Olive with her anxiety, are home a lot, can keep up with Olive's allergies and medications, and have a doggie door, you might have the perfect home for this lovely sweet dog. A doggie companion for Olive is not required, but it could be a plus!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 12:34 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Introducing, Bruno!  This boy is approximately 8 years old and about 45 pounds.  Bruno is such a sweet boy. He loves being around his humans. He is crate trained but is working on his potty training (he has been a marker  but strongly positive that will change now that  he is neutered). Bruno knows how to use the dog door. Bruno is a vocal houndy, he will vocalize when he's excited, when he's hungry, when someone walks out of his view. He loves playing with toys, although he doesn't play for a long time and just prefers to be a couch potato or hang out at your feet while you work. Bruno does great on walks and will vocalize his excitement of wanting to socialize when he sees another dog (although, not always). He'd do great in a home with or without another dog, doesn't mind kitties and loves kids. Bruno loves car rides and does great in cars. Bruno is a bit of a slobbery  boy (such a hound dog!), he doesn't mind water, and sometimes he finds leftovers on his ears.  Bruno has one blue eye and one brown eye! Once an inguinal hernia is repaired which will be soon, his vetting will be complete, he will be healthy and ready for adoption. Is Bruno the loving basset houndie for you??   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 12:34 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lars, the lover! Take note: although Lars is snuggled under a piano bench in his photo, he is not an accomplished pianist...yet! He is hoping to learn to sit upright on the piano bench soon but hasn't quite mastered that pose. Lars has no idea why his legs are long but in his two years of life, he has not found being tall to be a problem. He can snuggle into his person's lap as happily as his short legged basset pals.  His owner reported that the other dogs in his litter of origin, have typical short basset legs but Lars' legs just kept growing until they became the legs they are today. A very friendly,  happy fellow, Lars enjoys the company of other dogs and likes to play with dog savvy cats. He travels well, is housetrained, and has no special needs. Lars'  vetting has been completed, including neutering, and he is in excellent health. This playful, loving  fellow will make a wonderful companion for some lucky adopter.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 12:34 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Eight-month-old Benny is a sweet loving dog. He’s still got a very puppy playful side. He loves getting toys out of the bin and playing with them. He also likes chewing Nylabones. We are still working on biting and playing with toys only. But he may grab your shoe or your hand to play. With that in mind, Benny might not be appropriate for a home with young children. Benny is not shy about getting attention. He will walk over, and if you’re sitting down, he will lie down on your lap. He will quietly whine for you to continue to pet him. He loves to be picked up and carried like a baby and he lays his head back while you rock him or walk around with him. He loves his humans. Benny walks very well on a leash. He really enjoys his walks. He doesn’t pull and walks next to you. He loves the company of other dogs of all shapes and sizes. He shows submissiveness towards dominant dogs. He loves to chase and be chased. He sleeps and wants to share a bed with his other foster brothers and sisters. Benny is respectful to our cat but will sometimes chase him. He could be OK with a cat that is used to dogs. Benny is still working on potty training. Even with a consistent schedule, he won’t always give a signal that he needs to pee and will pee in his male wrap. This may get easier, now that he is neutered. Benny would do best in a house that has a yard. He loves being outside and sunning himself on the deck or in the yard. He loves his naps too. In summary, Benny's ideal home would have: Someone willing to continue training him,Someone who has other dogs,Someone who has a yard or at least a deck.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 12:34 pm
