She would love to have a person of her own. She likes people and gets on with dogs and even cats. Lilly is not much into playing but would rather spend  time with her person and on a soft place to land. She likes to be inside and has worked hard on house training but still needs to be watched carefully. Lilly would be totally devoted to someone who would shower her with love. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 4, 2024, 3:46 pm

Beautiful 6-year-old Basya (pronounced 'Bahs'-ya') will be ready for her new home after she is spayed on January 13. Her name is Russian, and means 'Daughter of God.' She is a little shy, but is a very pleasant basset, happy and loves to run and play. Basya came from a situation in which she was kept outdoors and used as a breeder. She can be initially snippy when meeting new dogs, but she usually recovers and is OK with them. Basya was surrendered with her buddy, Oliver, but the two dogs are not bonded and Basya would be fine as an only dog, or with a compatible doggie companion. She would probably be fine with kids. Having been accustomed to being an outdoor dog, Basya will need some help with her house training. She knows how to use a doggie door.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 18, 2025, 2:47 pm

Story
This is Jack. He is 9 years old, neutered, housebroken and up top date on his vaccines. Jack is a great dog. Unfortunately, I have been under- or unemployed for two years now and I simply don't have the resources to provide for him anymore. Jack is very protective of me. Whenever he perceives a threat to me, he instinctively stands between me and the threat. So, trips to the dog park aren't very fun--he's always on high alert. However, he has been to doggie day care at least 100 times and he very much enjoys interacting with the other dogs. Jack was raised around three other dogs and he got along fine with them. Jack loves to walk and be outside. I often let him off leash as he rarely gets more than 25 yards away from me. Jack, like most beagles, has a loud bark but he only barks at appropriate times--knock on the door, etc. Really, I don't want him to let him go but I can't find anywhere to live in my price range that will accept a pet.
