Story
*** If you are interested in Kira, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ *** Meet Kira, an 8 month old, ADORABLE Basset Hound / Beagle mix who is as charming as she is adorable! Weighing in at about 38 lbs, this short lady is the epitome of the Basset breed, with her signature stumpy legs, ridiculously long ears, and a face that could melt even the coldest of hearts! Kira has the sweetest, most gentle spirit. She and her littermate were rescued as part of a litter of puppies found abandoned on a rural property in Arkansas. Now, after months of love and care, Kira is ready to find her forever home in Colorado! Kira is a lovable, friendly girl who adores people and gets along well with other dogs. Even though she is a youngster at 8 months old, her foster says that Kira has a calm and affectionate nature—perfect for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion. Kira has been around kids aged 7 & 9 years old and did great with them (with supervision, as always) and would thrive in a home where she can continue to grow and experience all the joys of being part of a family. We are unsure if Kira has had any formal training. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young dog whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. Kira has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
Linus had his follow up appointment today 3/14  and the vet thinks he’s a basset mix!! Whatever else is anyone’s guess!! This guy is dog friendly, cat curious and so photogenic!! He can even entertain himself with toys, ice cubes or frozen vegetables! He still likes to be accompanied when he goes outside ( but knows how to use the dog door) so apartment life could be a thing!! He’s currently getting an ointment in one of his eyes and that’s so much easier than a drop ( it’s for 5-7 days). Available for adoption at RezDawg Rescue, Inc ##2296284##

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!!!  Who can resist the temptation of some Cheetos?! Meet our delightful lowrider boy, Cheetos! With his unique Basset Hound and Lab mix heritage, he's an irresistible blend of charm and joy. At around 3 years old, Cheetos is a bundle of fun, spreading happiness wherever he goes. This lovebug adores people and is a social butterfly with his canine pals. Whether he's munching on treats, going for leisurely walks, or enjoying playtime with bones and squeaky toys, Cheetos knows how to have a good time. And let's not forget his love for mealtime – eating is definitely one of his favorite pastimes! Weighing in at approximately 55 pounds, Cheetos has plenty of love to share. He's a hilarious Velcro dog who thrives on being part of the family's activities. When it's time to unwind, Cheetos is all about cuddling up on a lap for some quality relaxation time. Cheetos has mastered leash training and is a joy to have by your side on walks. Plus, he's house-trained, so no worries about messes with him around! Although he's not the biggest fan of the crate, he'll happily settle down there when needed. With his signature trot and friendly demeanor, Cheetos is sure to steal your heart. While he's incredibly sweet, his size and strength mean he's best suited to a home without very small children or feline friends. Fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and having completed heartworm treatment, Cheetos is ready to become the newest member of your family. Don't miss out on the chance to meet this adorable and charming boy – apply today and get ready for a lifetime of happiness and love with Cheetos by your side!
