Meet Speedo! At 7 1/2 months old, Speedo weighs 38#. We are guessing he will end up being around 45#. He is sweet, smart, energetic, curious, and fearless. We haven't found anything he is afraid of! Speedo has the cutest curled-up tail and beautiful white and brindle markings. He can entertain himself by playing with his toys, but he also loves all dogs and people. He uses a doggie door at his foster home and has had no accidents in the past 3 months. He is motivated by food and quick to learn commands. He knows come, sit, down, wait, no, off, and leave it. He quietly sleeps in his crate at night. Speedo is a typical puppy with lots of energy (usually followed by a nap). He would love a fenced-in backyard and another dog to play with. Speedo likes to be around and with people and would love to cuddle with you. He rides well in the car and walks well on a leash with a pinch collar. We believe Speedo's mom is a Bassett hound mix weighing just 22 pounds (we have photos of her). This cute, curious and fearless little guy is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots and preventatives. His adoption fee is $325. Roman is currently enrolled in the 12 week Puppies 4 Parole program through the Mo Department of Corrections. He will graduate around March 5th and will be available for adoption at that time. If you are interested in adopting Roman, please complete an application and the foster parent will contact you. Roman (Romy) is a 1yr. old male Bassett mix. He is full of curiosity and energy. He loves to cuddle and he even “talks” sometimes. He can be amusing at times especially when he trips over his chunky front paws. Roman is about 30-35 Ibs. He enjoys all types of squeaky toys and is learning to fetch. He has made himself quite at home and has made friends with our dog. He doesn’t discriminate when it comes to playmates. He’s been around large and small dogs and a cat. He is learning to walk on a leash and is getting better everyday. He doesn’t require a fenced yard. He loves his chew toys but needs to have access to plenty of them or he might chew a cord or shoe. Roman is not crate trained but is housebroken. He will whine at the door when he needs to go out. Roman loves to eat and has been caught attempting to “counter surf”. All in all, Roman is a complete sweetheart and will be a happy addition to his forever home. 3 year old mixed breed (shelter said hound/shepherd mix). Adopted @ 8 weeks from a shelter in Illinois. He can be such a sweet dog - so friendly, loves to cuddle, is playful, & loves every human he meets! He is happy being both active & lazy - loves walks, hikes, & playing outside, but can also be a huge couch potato. Reasons for rehoming: - Has never learned to live with our two cats (had before we got him). - intense separation anxiety and unhealthy attachment. Extremely attached to me & acts like my fiance (his other owner) is a threat at times. He will resource guard me. He has bitten my fiance before while very escalated and stressed. it hasn't happened in a while & wasn't bad, but important to note. We have worked with vets (meds), group trainers, & private trainers but it hasn't improved. Because of the unhealthy dynamic that has formed, we think he would be much happier in a different home with an experienced owner. He is really such a sweet dog and has so much love to give.
