Harley is a basset beagle mix, who gets along with other dogs. She seems to challenge the foster's dog for dominance at first but have come to terms after a short time, so could be good in a home without other dogs as well as with. She currently pays no attention to chickens or cats. She is house and crate trained and seems to know the sit command. Harley loves being with people and did great with strangers and kids during a recent visit. She uses her crate for naps as well as bedtime. She will dance for salmon as that seems to be her favorite!

Walter seems a little nervous to be in a new place and follows his foster around. He seems ok with other dogs and cats currently just a quick sniff then ignoring them. He loves cuddles and pets. He sits upon being approached for pets and leans against you when you sit next to him. He is unsure what to do on a leash and sits is there's any tension but will follow you when encouraged, so he's learning with his foster. He has had one accident inside so far due to anxiety when a foster family member returned from work (this is common for being in a new place); he does seem to be house trained. He loves climbing on the storage box of his foster's deck to get the lay of the land. He tends to be very chill and lays in a blanket next to his foster much of the day.

June is a 7 year old basset mix. She is incredibly friendly, sweet and smart. Her lists of tricks are as long as her low rider body. She knows how to lay down, stand up, turn, roll over, speak, high five, shake along with many others such as go up stairs and get in your bed. She is crate trained and leash trained as well. She loves to play with her sister Addie who is a 11 lb 2 1/2 year old chiweenie that she is bonded with and must be rehomed with. They sleep together, play together and share all their toys. Meet Brady Pork Chop. This poor, emaciated boy came to us over from Donna, Texas. The family who found him live next to a field and he appeared there, likely dumped. It took a few days for them to catch him but once they did, they quickly found him to be very gently and loving. He is now on a feeding schedule to help gain his weight back, and is being treated for worms and tick disease. Brady Pork Chop is so loved that he has TWO NAMES of his very own. He was too special and too cute for us to agree on one so we decided he probably deserves both after all he’s been through! He really loves his humans and can’t wait to be well enough to play with the other dogs in his foster home. He’s not quite ready to go home yet, but we are accepting applications. Meet Honey Bun! This sweet girl was pregnant in the Ingleside shelter until a Good Samaritan took her in so she wouldn’t have to have her babies on the hard concrete. Her babies have all found homes so now we’re trying to find something for Honey Bun! Honey Bun is an easy going girl who gets along with everyone and everything. While weaning her puppies, she lived in a home with kids and she currently lives with multiple dogs and cats. She loves some cuddle time and is up for car rides, walks, and pup cups! He gets along very well with other dogs, loves people and is super playful for an 11 year old pup. He has the BEST bay and will do well in a home (not an apartment). He was recently diagnosed with Cushings disease which can be managed with medication.
