Willy Nilly is a handsome Beagle mix breed whose estimated DOB is 8/01/2016 and on 11/20/2024 he weighed 34 pounds. He came to us heartworm positive but he Iha's been treated and us over all restrictions now. Activity will need to This little guy is just as sweet as he can be. If you are looking for a lap-warmer for this winter, look no further. Willy Nilly loves to be scratched at the base of his tail and does a funny little wiggle to show how much he likes it. He also loves to be close to his human for reassurance and snuggles after playtime. Come meet Willy Nilly today and warm your heart, home and lap by giving him the loving home he needs.Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

Chopper has landed in the OOTW program after being picked up as a stray in the Roland community. Although attempts were made to find his owners, all efforts failed. :( Chopper is a young beagle mix who weighs about 28 pounds. He is an awesome doggie and so well behaved. He is still a "puppy" and does like to chew, but we keep chew sticks for him and that's just what he needs and wants! This handsome boy is active and will need a fenced yard for safe playtime and another dog in the family would be great. Chopper must have belonged to someone because he's a polite, well-trained boy. He walks perfectly on leash with zero pulling and he enjoys his walks through the neighborhood. He is scheduled to be fully vetted in a few days. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. JJ is a neutered male beagle/terrier mix who is a little over 1 year old. He is a good eater and sleeps well at night on a dog bed in my bedroom. He does not like a kennel. He is pretty energetic and athletic and has the zoomies every day. He was found as a stray at Southwest high school. He is sweet and friendly to all, but needs to be worked with to help him not jump up on people. He NEEDS to be in a home with another dog. He is good as long as there is a person or another dog around him. If he is by himself, he cries and bays. He LOVES toys and empties his toy box every day. He has been pretty good about not chewing on anything other than the toys, but has counter-surfed a couple of times with success. Very affectionate and wants to be skin on skin. He can play fetch and follow a few commands. He has been overall pretty good with potty training, but has had some accidents. He does well on a leash and does well in the car.
