Story
Annie was adopted as a puppy from a shelter in Alabama. She was a loved dog but her owners kept her on a chain because of improper fencing. Then the owner went over seas and asked if I could board til they returned. She didn’t want to send her to family because of the fact they already had two dogs and a third female would not work out. When the owner returned she found out she was expecting a baby and had lost her place to live. So she moved in with her family and surrender her dog to us but only because it was taking her too long to get stable after the baby was born. Mastani is a good dog and loved her owner very much and she waited patiently. At least the visits to take her to the park made her feel like there was still hope. Nice clean girl does well in her crate snd is house broken and crate trained. Plays well with other dogs but is better with male dogs than female.

Story
Updated: 25JAN25 **Meet Kiko - The Couch Potato Connoisseur! ** Name: Kiko Breed: Beagle Mix/Sheperd (a distinguished 52 lbs of pure charm!) Age: 9 and a half years (the wise old sage of snuggles!) Neutered: You betcha! Vaccinations: Fully vaccinated (ready to take on the world-at a leisurely pace!) **Hello there!** Hi, my name is Kiko! Am I not the most handsome boy you've ever seen? If you enjoy quiet days and evenings snacking on the couch while watching Hallmark Christmas movies, look no further-I'm your perfect partner in crime! While I do enjoy my leisurely walks (think stroll, not sprint) and sniffing all the great smells outside, I'm also content to just lay at your feet or engage in a serious squeaky toy chewing session. Now, let's talk about snacks-I'm a bit of a connoisseur! I have a refined palate and can definitely tell the difference between a yummy treat and a green bean. Sneak a green bean by me, and I'll give you the side-eye of disapproval! **Car Rides & Social Skills** I also love car rides and being wherever you are! Just picture it: you, me, the open road, and a playlist of our favorite tunes. I'm the older guy looking for my next person to bond with. My prior owner was busy, busy, busy, which made me anxious and uncomfortable-too much excitement for my laid-back lifestyle! I can be a bit hesitant around new people, so I might take my time to warm up to you. If I'm not feeling social (which is often), I'll be perfectly content in my cozy kennel with my favorite stuffed carrot. I'm house-trained, love gentle pets and ear scratches, but I'm not really a cuddler. While I enjoy being near my people, I prefer to keep my personal space-think of me as a charming companion who values independence! **Training & Bonding** I know how to sit like a good boy and have fantastic recall-just call my name, and I'll come sauntering over like I'm the star of a slow-motion movie! I spent some time at Champion Farms in November 2023, where everyone learned a lot about me. I take a little time to warm up, but once I do, I bond faster than you can say "treat time! A quiet home suits me best, but one where I can still enjoy short leash walks with my person is ideal. My new human should possess some leadership qualities to ensure healthy boundaries-after all, I bond deeply with my favorite humans! Oh, and here's the cherry on top: My next home will receive a free in-home session with Edgar at The Champion Farm to ensure you get started on the right foot together. Think of it as a training montage for our buddy cop movie!
