If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $650 Meet Shepherd’s Pie – The Ultimate Recipe for Love! *Shepherd's Pie is an option for Foster-to-Adopt!* Shepherd’s Pie, or Shep as we like to call him, is a perfect 30-pound bundle of joy, charm, and playful energy. At 1 year old, he’s got just the right mix of youthful enthusiasm and well-mannered maturity, making him an ideal companion for just about any home. Shep was rescued from a high-kill shelter, but you’d never know it from his sunny disposition—this boy lives every day like it’s the best day ever! A Day in the Life of Shep Mornings with Shep begin with soft little sounds from his crate around 7:45 AM, letting us know he’s awake and ready for the day. He patiently waits to be let out before greeting his humans with full-body wiggles, tail wags, and happy kisses. After a quick potty break in the yard, he enjoys breakfast side by side with his 55-pound American Bully foster sister—both eating respectfully and sometimes sneaking glances at each other’s bowls. Once breakfast is done, he’s off for a second potty break and then playtime, either with his foster sister, his beloved chew toys, or by zooming around the backyard. A morning walk is one of Shep’s favorite parts of the day. He runs over eagerly when he sees his harness and leash, knowing it’s time to explore. Shep is curious about everything—he loves sniffing the world, meeting new people, and making friends with other leashed dogs. He doesn’t chase squirrels and has made great strides in his leash manners, improving every day with treats and encouragement. The rest of Shep’s day is a perfect balance of play and relaxation. He rotates between romping in the yard, chewing on his favorite toys, and curling up for cozy naps in the family room. His favorite place to nap? Right next to his people, preferably on a soft blanket on the couch. If he gets a little too enthusiastic during playtime, he’s easily redirected or content to settle down with a good chew toy. He’s learning when to take breaks, and his foster sister is helping him master the art of the well-timed nap. Dinner rolls around at 4:30 PM, and Shep is always ready for it! Evenings are filled with more play, snuggles, and winding down with his humans. By bedtime, he’s happily curled up in his crate, sleeping peacefully until morning. Shep’s Personality: A Big Heart in a Medium-Sized Body From the moment he arrived in his foster home, Shep’s playful and affectionate nature shined through. He was immediately drawn to his foster sister’s toy basket, joyfully pulling out every single neglected treasure as if he’d just discovered the world’s best surprise. His love for play is matched only by his love for people—he adores human company and wants to be wherever the action is. If someone is cooking, he’ll pop in to check on them. If someone moves to another room, he’s likely to follow just to see what’s going on. He’s a social butterfly, always curious and engaged. Shep is also incredibly smart. He already knew “sit,” “shake,” and “down” when he arrived, and he’s quickly learning new commands like “go to your crate.” He pays close attention when you talk to him, often tilting his head in that adorable way that makes it seem like he’s really trying to understand every word. He responds well to both food and play as training rewards, making him a joy to work with. At his core, Shep is a happy, loving dog who thrives on companionship. Whether he’s greeting you with excited wiggles, curling up beside you for a nap, or gazing up at you with his soulful eyes, he makes it impossible not to smile. Shep & Friends: Dogs, People, and Adventures Shep is a social pup who enjoys the company of other dogs. He and his foster sister play well together, and he’s respectful when she needs a break. He’s met other dogs on walks and at a friend’s house, always excited and eager to make new friends. When it comes to people, Shep is an absolute sweetheart. He has happily welcomed friends and family of all ages into his foster home, and he’s always ready to shower his humans with affection. He hasn’t been around young kids yet, but given his gentle and loving nature, he would likely do well with dog-savvy children. Shep has also proven to be a great car companion. Whether he’s crated or riding shotgun, he’s calm and curious, making him a great travel buddy for future adventures. The Perfect Home for Shep Shep would love a home where he can get plenty of playtime, walks, and affection. A house with a backyard would be ideal so he can romp around and get his zoomies out, but he’d also do well in a home where his humans are committed to regular walks and enrichment. He thrives on companionship, so he’d be happiest in a home where someone is around to spend time with him. Shep is looking for a family who will continue to build on the great progress he’s made, helping him grow into an even more confident and well-mannered pup. In return, he promises to fill your home with laughter, love, and plenty of tail wags. If you’re ready for a playful, loving, and endlessly entertaining companion, Shepherd’s Pie is waiting to meet you!Shepherd Pie is an option for a home that has dog experience. If there are children they need to be over the age of 5.March 14, 2025, 12:52 am

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.     Adoption fee: $650 *Peter Pan is an option for Foster-to-Adopt!*   Peter Pan: The Lost Boy Looking for His Forever Home Second star to the right and straight on to your heart—meet Peter Pan, the pup who refuses to grow up (but is learning some impressive big-boy manners)! This 5-6 month old Beagle-Italian Greyhound (ish) mix has all the makings of a legend: the face of an angel, the legs of a runway model, and the playful spirit of a Neverland adventurer. A Dog Who Believes in Magic (And Treats) Peter Pan used to think hands were for nibbling, but thanks to some pixie-dust training (and a fine mist from a spray bottle), he now understands that people’s fingers are not chew toys. When he gets too excited, a simple “spish spish” sound reminds him to be gentle—proof that he might actually be part genius. Speaking of smarts, Peter Pan is one of the easiest puppies we've ever trained. He’s potty-trained (zero accidents!), crate-trained (tucks himself in at night), and working on mastering the mystical art of ringing the potty bells. He follows cues from his foster siblings and has made huge strides on walks—what was once a scary adventure is now his favorite part of the day! Neverland Adventures Await! Peter Pan is a yard explorer extraordinaire. He takes his job as the neighborhood’s smallest security guard very seriously, patrolling for rogue birds and sunbathing after a hard day’s work. He also discovered the joy of mud puddles (and was so thrilled about it that he wagged his tail the entire time he was being cleaned up in the sink—true dedication). And then there’s fetch. Oh, does Peter Pan love fetch! But why play the normal way when you can turn it into an obstacle course? Over the couch, under the table, across the chairs—he keeps things interesting. If fetch was an Olympic sport, Peter Pan would be bringing home the gold. Part-Time Lap Dog, Full-Time Family Member Peter Pan might be playful, but when it’s time to relax, he’s all about the snuggles. He loves curling up next to his people, whether it’s in a chair during work calls (he’s now a minor celebrity among his foster mom’s coworkers) or cheering on the family’s video game sessions from the best seat in the house. And if you ever “lose” him, just check under the nearest blanket—he’s a master at building himself cozy little nests. Who’s the Perfect Family for Peter Pan? A home with another playful dog would be ideal (his foster dog siblings have taught him so much, and he’s eager to have a best friend!). A yard would be a bonus—he loves having outdoor space to patrol and nap in. Someone who enjoys a mix of fun and affection—he plays hard and cuddles harder! A family who appreciates a pup who’s both adventurous and adaptable—he's grown from a nervous little guy into a confident, joyful companion. Peter Pan has spent his whole life searching for his place in the world, and we know his perfect family is out there. Are you ready to take him on your next great adventure? Because once you meet him, you’ll never want to say “I won’t grow up” without him.Videos of Peter Pan: https://youtu.be/S8PU4LQ4IhUhttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/hOYB4dmBRI8 https://youtu.be/uTK1_rO11WUMarch 15, 2025, 2:01 am

Story
Travis is a lovable dog who loves people more than anything in the world (besides food, of course). If you take him to the dog park, he is most interested in greeting other humans! Even though he is 7 years old, he is constantly full of energy. That doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy chilling out and cuddling with you at the end of the day. :) Travis gets anxious when he is home alone and needs someone who is willing to make him part of their life. Though he gets along with most people, he is happiest in a home (not apartment) with 1 or no dogs and older children. We are devastated to have to rehome Travis, but ultimately need to find him an environment where he will be the happiest.

Twix is an extremely friendly loving boy. He lounges around all day and enjoys his walks in the park. He loves cuddles and is house trained. He is ok about other dogs and we prefer a family with no other dogs. He loves the attention from people and is an extremely people friendly person. He is very good motivated and loves his peanut butter. He is a little anxious around infants and toddlers but does well with older kids. Looking for a family that will love him and give him attention.

Story
Doja the tripod is a playful, lovable, pup who doesn’t let having only three legs slow him down one bit. He is housetrained, incredibly affectionate, and will happily follow you around the house before curling up next to—or right on top of—you for some snuggles. He’s great with other dogs and is used to riding in the car with his people. Smart and eager to learn, Doja already knows sit and stay, has great off-leash recall, and loves wading in creeks and wrestling with his pup pals.
