Story
Rubble is a very sweet, curious, and lovable dog. His favorite pastime is playing and snuggling with his humans. He is a medium to high energy dog. He would do best in a home that has a lot of energy and can handle a dog that always wants attention. He does well with cats and does well with submissive or low-temperament dogs. He even participates in doggie daycare play groups every now and then. He would do best with older children in the household that can understand his energy. Please call 302-834-7387 or email crf@summit-vet.com to schedule a meet and greet with Rubble.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Almost two years ago, our foster dog Bella found a home with a great family.  Unfortunatley, Bella developed behavior problems and would not get along with the family's other dog.   This forced the family to return Bella to DMPR.  Bella is now looking once again for her forever family. Overall Bella is a great dog with some issues that can be resolved if her new family is committed to taking her to an obedience class.  Bella needs to learn boundaries - when she is given too much freedom, she becomes a high-maintenance diva (or simply put, a brat).  Bella does know some basic obedience commands.  She will sit and come on command.  She also knows when she is doing something wrong - her foster mom will look at her and say in a low voice 'Bel-la' and Bella will stop what she is doing and look at her foster mom and then drop her head low (like she is ashamed she was caught).  However, this is not ideal, as it would be better if Bella didn't do the 'bad' stuff in the first place.  (Bad stuff includes - jumping on the bed, growling at the foster mom's other dogs when there is food out, and jumping on people).  What Bella needs is consistency - she needs to be taught what is the right thing to do, so that she gets to hear lots of 'Yes!  Good girl!'  Bella loves to be with people - she so wants to be a people pleaser.  Her foster mom thinks that positive reinforcement training will go a long way with her.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Meet Captain! This adorable, shy boy lost his home when his dad passed away. He's really eager to please and quickly bonds with someone he can trust. Once he feels safe, he's a real goofball and loves to have fun. Cap is best suited for a mature family with older children. He's full of energy and is always up for an adventure with his family. He's still getting the hang of housebreaking but is making progress, and while he can be crated, he much prefers being with people. Captain is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He even comes with pet insurance from Trupanion. If you'd like to welcome this sweet boy into your family, please visit us online at www.hillhounds.org to apply.
