SCOUT was abandoned in rural Brantley County, Ga. He is about 30 pounds and 8-10 months old and looks like a miniature Rottweiler. His appearance and size is similar to a Jack Russell or German Pinscher. He has all the stoic traits of a Rottie and the terrier. However, he has a sweet side to his nature as well. He has shown to do well with other dogs both male and female and would be gentle enough for children six or over. He might be a bit too active for a toddler. This boy needs a friend and a boy looking for a best friend would be a perfect match. He is not small enough to be a lab dog but perfect for being a couch partner, He is very person motivated and would make a great companion. He is learning to walk on a leash well but can be distracted. His intelligence does not let anything go unnoticed. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to roll. Hey Hey! My name is Bonnie and I'm the last girl left in my litter, even my mom has a home! I would love to get away from my goofy brothers so I can really shine! I can be a little shy with new people, but I promise I warm up quickly! One thing I'm really great at is sharing my toys! I love to carry things around and will make sure to show you what I have! She was picked up by SGER when she was sleeping on a neighbor's porch on a cool day so she could stay warm, She's playful, gets along with most dogs, hasn't been introduced to cats that we know of (can be cat tested upon request), and just a sweet girl that loves attention and people. Jade was pulled with her "sister" Opal from a high kill shelter in Jesup, Ga. They were surrendered to the shelter when their owner could no longer care for them and needed to give them up. They were both on the list to be euthanized, and we couldn't let that happen. We haven't had Jade long enough to know much about her personality, but from what we've seen, she is a little on the shy side, but will still want to cuddle and be near when she's unsure. The entire ride from the shelter she just wanted to sit in the volunteer's lap to be snuggled close since she was a little scared of what was going on. Once fully vetted, she will be ready for adoption! She can be cat tested upon request.
