Story
BONDED PAIR. Needs to be adopted together to a home without pets. They are dog aggressive and scared of cats. Jax (GSP) has chronic ear infections and needs regular vet visits. Rubin (beagle) needs to continue to be on a diet to lose weight (he used to be severely obese, medicated food is encouraged.) They are very loving dogs and require a lot of physical attention and activity. They are very protective over their people and family. They have been the best dogs for me, I just cannot continue to financially support them. I’m not looking for any money, just the right home for my boys.

Story
Howdy, I'm Roxy Jolene, a gentle soul with a knack for silliness. Sweet as I am, I still manage to find myself in peculiar places, like the shelter. Remember, I am a beagle, and the nose of a beagle (or any hound for that matter) can lead to trouble. It's probably my nose that caused me to stray and become a resident of the local shelter. Fortunately fo rme, a rescue team came along and bailed me out. I'm all about the love, folks. Adopt me and I promise to work more with common sense than with sense of smell. Beware though, I am just endless affection and a dash of my delightful goofiness! So, Come get me! Did you know that when you adopt from the Maggie Society, your new family member comes with two copies of vet records. All Maggie dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention prior to adoption. Your adoption fee goes towards the vetting of another dog or puppy in need. If interested in adopting, please complete an application. An approved application from The Maggie Society is valid for up to one year. It is not necessary to complete additional applications for dogs or puppies of interest if you have already been approved. Please reach out to the Maggie Society or your adoption counselor for a meet and greet!

Story
Very lovable dog but she has eye sight issues, and somtimes gets nervous. She currently lives with a lab Shepherd mix and they absolutely love playing together but we are currently expecting a new baby in a month and have 2 young children, so I'd rather let her go to a family that doesn't have so much going on that can tend to her needs. She will play, or she is fine with just lap laying. Would make a very lovable lap companion. Gets along just fine with kids like I said she likes to play, as well.

Carol can a be a little shy and standoffish at first. She loves daily walks with her foster and is very friendly with the people she meets. She may need time to warm up before she feels comfortable but once she does she will be your best buddy! She will need a patient family that will see her through her heartworm treatment journey. Story
BernaD is a shy yet incredibly loving and playful pup who is ready to win your heart! With her energetic nature, favorite toys in tow, and love of tasty treats, shes learning all about the joys of living inside and adjusting beautifully to her feeding and potty schedule. Shes doing a fantastic job learning to potty outside and isnt destructive at allshes a true get of a dog! Her Ideal Home: BernaD thrives in a calm, patient, and quiet household. Shes easily startled and experiences some anxiety and fearfulness, so a tranquil environment will help her feel secure and happy. She may take some time to get comfortable and bond with the people in her new home, but once she does, her love knows no bounds. To make her transition smoother, its beneficial to provide a designated safe place where she feels comfortable and can retreat freely. She tends to hide behind or under furniture when overwhelmed, but shes easily redirected to her safe haven. An open crate with a cozy bed, blanket, and toys is perfect for her. Food Motivation & Training: One of the best ways to earn Bernadette's trust is through her love of food! Her food motivation makes her an eager learner during training sessions, helping her adapt to her new home with patience and positive reinforcement. This trait will be especially helpful in building her confidence and teaching her new skills. Playtime & Walks: Shes discovering the fun of fetching and loves retrieving toys and engaging in a little tug-of-war before the next throw. She is doing very well in learning to walk on a leash. You can set the pace. Walks in calm, quiet areas bring her joy, while loud or sudden noises, and busy areas can trigger a panic reaction. Her favorite moments are filled with gentle play, exploration, and a few tasty snacks! Friendly Companionship: BernaD may do best in a home with another friendly, playful dog who enjoys company and can model the expected behavior for her. Having a buddy can help her learn to trust and interact with her new family. Once she feels secure, shell be excited to play and form a beautiful bond with her fellow canine and human companions. Cuddles & Sleep: If youre looking for a cuddle buddy, BernaD is your girl! She adores snuggling and sleeping in the bed at night. However, shes also happy snoozing in a comfy crate if thats your preference. Are you ready to welcome this sweet, treat-loving, and special soul into your home? BernaD promises to bring endless love, playfulness, and heartwarming moments to your life. Let her steal your heartbecause shes already stolen ours!
