Story
Meet Tere – Your Future Couch Buddy & Adventure Pal! Fostered in Waterloo Tere is a 3 year old 42lb sweet, playful Beagle/dachshund mix with a low-to-medium energy level who’s looking for her forever home. This lovely girl enjoys the simple things in life – a cozy dog bed, a comfy spot on the couch, and a good walk to explore the world with her nose leading the way. The Basics: • Dog-friendly? Absolutely! • Cat-friendly? Untested • Kid-friendly? Best with kids over 8 • Sleeps on: Dog bed and couch – total comfort queen • Energy level: Low to medium – playful but chill • Walks: Loves both short and long walks, but does need work on leash skills • Shedding? Yes! • Grooming needs: Regular brushing will help keep her coat in check Personality & Training: Tere is confident and friendly – no fear of people or new places. She can be protective of her food, so her foster is working on that using positive reinforcement. She’ll benefit from continued gentle training to reinforce good manners. She gets along well with other dogs and would do well either alone or with one other one in her home that’s of a similar size. Home Requirements: Tere needs a fenced yard and a detached home – she loves her outdoor time and is more of a barker when outside, so she will not suited for condo life. She can be left alone for up to 4 hours. Exercise Needs: She enjoys daily walks (and needs them to burn off her energy) and would do well with a dog walker or active adopter. Doggy daycare could also be a great outlet for her if introduced properly. Ready to Meet Tere? She’s full of love, always down for a walk or snuggle, and is ready to bring joy to a home that fits her needs. If you’ve got a fenced yard, a bit of patience for training, and a heart ready for love – Tere might be your perfect match! ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Story
Meet Ayla – A Sweet Soul Ready for Her Second Chance Birthday: July 10, 2021
Breed: Beagle
Weight: 20 lbs Ayla is a gentle, soft-eared beauty who’s been blossoming since arriving at her foster home with Just Paws Animal Rescue. After spending much of her early life in a cage, she’s discovering the joys of freedom, safety, and love – and she’s so ready to be part of a forever family. Ayla is incredibly sweet and finds comfort in following her fellow dog friends around, learning from them and gaining confidence each day. She’s especially fond of liver treats, couch cuddles, and quietly chewing on her favorite bones. While she’s still getting the hang of housetraining, she’s picking it up quickly thanks to the guidance of her canine companions. She sleeps peacefully on her dog bed in her playpen at night, and during the day, she sticks close to the people she trusts. Ayla is good with kids but would do best in a cat-free home – she can’t help but see them as something to chase! Because of her past, Ayla wasn't taught how to walk on a leash and can be unsure of the outside world. But despite this, she is showing so much potential and a loving, gentle nature. Ideally, her future home would include another dog – especially a nurturing dog who can show her the ropes. Her fosters describe her as “lovely and beautiful,” and it’s easy to see why. If you’re someone with a kind heart, a cozy couch, and room for a little beagle love in your life, Ayla might just be your perfect match. To adopt Ayla, please send in an application – she’s ready to give all her love to the family she’s been waiting for. Fostered in Thornhill. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details!
