Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Abs7kj6GcFA Aloe is named after the plant because it survives in harsh conditions. Aloe has a rough and sad start to live. First her and her 6 siblings were dumped in a box behind a high kill shelter on the weekend so they weren't found for over a day. Then they started getting sick and all of them tested positive for parvo which is almost always deadly for young, small puppies. The shelter doesn't have the funds to treat parvo as it is very expensive so the litter was brought to the vet to be euthanized. I happened to be in the director's office when she took a call about them and I inquired and asked if I could give it a try to save them. She called the vet and one had already been euthanized but 6 were still alive. I rushed over there to pick them up and immediately started them on fluids and medication. Unfortunately, after 3 days of sleepless nights giving them fluids every couple of hours, 5 of them passed away one by one. Aloe looked like she might die as well as she was in bad shape but she pulled through and is now happy and healthy. The heartache was immense but saving Aloe's life was worth the pain. She is the happiest, spunkiest, friendliest, and cutest puppy you will ever meet. She is great with dogs of all sizes and with cats and kittens. She weighs about 8 lbs right now and is about 3 months old. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection. Too young for a heartworm test. Too small for spay. Adoption fee: $500 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Optional extra: All dogs must be kept on heartworm prevention for at least 6 months following transport because of the heartworm development cycle to kill any larvae that might present and do not show up on a heartworm test (thus puppies under 6 months don't even get tested). This is a monthly pill and she will have been given one close to transport. However, there is also the option to give a one time shot that lasts an entire year. This shot costs $150-$170 (based on weight) and is NOT included in the adoption fee but can be added if you choose to. This an added option for those who do not want to have to go to a vet within a month of arrival to get a prescription for the monthly heartworm prevention. Story
Rosa is a playful and energetic girl who loves a good game of chase and is always up for some fun. She loves splashing around in the water and is a playgroup goofball which makes her an absolute delight to watch and interact with. When we introduced Rosa to a bunch of new dogs, she greeted them calmly on leash and was wonderfully playful once they were all in the yard together. She loves being outside and is a fantastic playmate. She had the cutest love connection with another silly and playful female- they looked like they had always known each other. Rosa enjoys the water and within a few minutes of seeing it, she was splashing around and attempting to snorkel, or at least blow bubbles with her nose. It was a hilarious, self-entertaining moment of cuteness! She’s not just about playing with other dogs; she knows how to have fun on her own too. This girl has hiking partner written all over her! Picture her carrying her own pack on a hike to the lake, where she’ll cool off in the water and enjoy a few belly rubs before hitting the trail again. Once you’re home, you’ll find her rolling around, making a nest, and likely sleeping with her belly up to the sky. When she’s not sleeping, she’ll show you that same belly-up position, now ready for her favorite form of affection – belly rubs. Rosa’s easy-going and playful approach with other dogs makes her a great candidate for doggy daycare, where she can enjoy a fun day out and then come home for a big nap. However, she doesn’t need that level of play every day. She’s mellow inside, happy to hang out, snuggle up or play with a toy on her own. If you’re looking for an entertaining, well-rounded, and playful companion, Rosa is ready and available for adoption. She’s going to make a wonderful addition to your home and will encourage you to get out and enjoy the outdoors as much as she does. Whether it’s a hike, a trip to the lake, or just a walk around the neighborhood, Rosa is up for it all. And with her size, a perfect 49 lbs, she’s a great fit for apartment or condo living too. A playful dog friend would be awesome, and a pool of any size, even a kiddie pool, would be a bonus! Interested in Rosa? Have questions about her or the adoption process? Please email michelle@threelittlepittiesrescue.org. We’re here to help ensure Rosa is the perfect fit for you and your life! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. Story
Meet Taffy! We call her our giant Beagle! She’s so exceptionally sweet, loving, confident, calm and respectful. This girl just might be the best dog at the rescue! Taffy is around 2 years old, 50 pounds, and we believe her to be a Beagle, Pittie mix- however she is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Fall in love with Taffy here: https://youtu.be/uSxfGcWCJ5o Taffy warms up to new people quickly! She’s all about love and will ask politely for pets. She’ll gently paw at you to ask you to keep petting, and she likes to hold hands! When we brought in other dogs to introduce to her she was reserved and preferred to watch over them, but she’s very playful with dogs she knows well. Taffy would be great in a home with a male dog, as she was found with a male dog and seems more comfortable and relaxed with them. Taffy also got the chance to meet the house cat, Tom. She remained calm and respectful to Tom and it told us that she could live in a home with a dog savvy cat. Taffy is food motivated, and eager to please, she’ll be a very enjoyable dog to further train. She’s great at listening and being corrected when she gets excited for your attention. Our favourite thing about Taffy is her little piglet tail she has. She’ll make it move for you when you give her treats and get on the floor with her for snuggles. Taffy loves people! Taffy is great with kids, too. She’s very gentle and slow with them, which isn’t too different from the way she acts with adults. She does like to trail after kids, following them around and monitoring their safety and availability for pets. Taffy has such a calm and relaxed demeanor, but outside, she knows how to play! Taffy would be an awesome dog to hike with, she’s easy on leash and she loves the water! This girl loves to splash around, and she’s a champ when the towel comes out. She loves to be dried off too! Why can’t every dog be like Taffy? Her specialty is being a calm dog that is there for you when you need a companion to lean on. Taffy would thrive in a quieter residential home or apartment and benefit from continued leash training and walks. She is incredibly loving and will blossom with patience and love from her new family. Come meet her, in person or virtually via video call, and see if you can give her the love she deserves! We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Spot - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hi ya world, let me introduce myself. My name is Spot and I've got lots of those but just one brown one beside my left eye!! I'm a goofball of a youngster who has never met a stranger but is looking for the opportunity to find my bestie. I'm about 8 months, born in December of 2023. I wants to find a loving forever home where I can have more time with my humans or even a doggy sibling. A home where my people are around more, maybe working from home, would be ideal. I'm not fond of being by myself for too long! I'm good with kids and other dogs but other animals are unknown. I knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, leave it, drop it, and I stops and waits to hear the keyword “cross” before crossing the street when on a loose leash walk. And my walks are the highlight of my day! I'm pretty chill when hanging out with my person but am playful when you're ready. I love my toys, napping close by you and romping around with my doggie friends at the park. I come in at around 48lbs, perfection for those adventures we can go on...together!! Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
Hi! I’m Eleanor Roosevelt, but everyone calls me Ellie! I’m looking for my someone special to help me make a new family. I really love having a home with a brother or sister dog and a person (or a few people) to love me and help me feel safe and loved. I used to have that, but something went wrong between my people (divorce) and I’ve had to move around quite a bit lately… I’m not sure what my place is. I have love in my heart and no one to give it to. It makes me anxious. When I’m anxious I bark more than usual. Sometimes that upsets the people. I like playing with toys, sleeping on beds with my people, zooming around a fenced yard with a friendly dog or two, and never being in a crate. Those crates are not for me! Going for rides in the car is fun, and I’m a good girl on the leash. In fact, I really love going on walks! I’m a healthy girl, 6yrs old around 29lbs. My only issue has been an occasional ear that acts up and needs stuff squirted in. I worry when I go to the vet; whine and feel scared, so I usually have medicine to relax a little. I can’t wait to be home with my new family. ** Ellie is a sweet, clever girl who needs a loving, patient home to settle in to and feel secure again. Her world has been unsettled for a while now and when she finds that forever home waiting for her, those people will feel like the lucky ones. Adoption application can be found here: https://www.cascaderescue.org/adoption-application/ For additional information on Ellie, contact Kappy Hodges at kapppy@cascaderescue.org.
