Story
Meet Copper Mannix, a playful, active Boglen Terrier pup in need of a forever home. Boglens are known to be friendly and affectionate, playful and lively, curious, intelligent and trainable. Copper landed in rescue due to no fault of his own. His previous owner let us know Copper's mom is a Beagle and his dad is a Boston Terrier. He's sure to make any family a wonderful canine companion - he's a lover and happy to be rolling around in your lap getting and giving kisses. He will gladly fetch a ball for you and you'll see his floppy ears fold back over his head as his speeds your way! He also likes to hang out outside and will gladly explore the yard then lounge on the deck with his people. A dedication to postive reinforcement training and a physical fence is required to adopt pups under a year old from BTRET.  The BasicsAge: 7 monthsWeight: 20 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes, as of 8/12/24Microchipped: YesVaccines Up-to-Date: YesOn Heartworm Prevention: YesOn Flea/Tick Prevention: YesHouse-Trained: Yes (some marking initially likely resolved with belly bands that can be sent with him to reacclimate)Crate-Trained: YesLeash Skills: Okay, learning not to pull  Likes/Dislikes Toys: Loves soft squeaky toys, chews on bones/bully sticksOther Animals: Likes to run and play with other dogs if they'll engage with him, but not reactive to other dogs signalling him to back offPeople/Kids: Very friendly with people, but hesitant with new people at first. Hunkers down if you go to pick him up, but doesn't show any aggression whatsoeverCar Rides: Sleeps like an angel in a crate on car ridesSeparation: Prefers to be where everyone else in the house is. May whine at first in the crate, but can entertain himself with a bone or toy and settles down and naps. More vocal if there's other commotion in the house and he thinks he's missing out.  Contact/Application InfoQuestions? Contact Amber at amber@bostonterriertn.orgCurrent Location: Near Abingdon, VAAdoption Fee: $450 (includes microchip registration)Ready to Apply to Adopt?
