Story
Meet Ruthie, a sweet 3-year-old purebred Beagle who embodies all the lovable traits of her breed! At around 20 lbs, she’s the perfect size for cuddles—and she loves to snooze under the covers or in a cozy laundry basket. Ruthie is house-trained, leash-trained, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids. She’s a low-energy, laid-back girl who enjoys exploring the yard with her nose to the ground and letting out the occasional Beagle howl. If you’re looking for a well-rounded, loving companion, Ruthie is your girl! Once adopted she will travel via the Rescue Transport to her new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
This guy's name is Dexter. He's a 5 ½ month old Beagle mix with the usual charming personality of that breed. Anyone who has ever had a Beagle knows how special they are. Sweet, generally calm, and well-mannered, they're also quite loyal. A real kid's dog, if you know what I mean. Dexter presently weighs 25 lbs. and will mature to around 30 to 35. (posted 2/18/24, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **February 18, 2025, 6:31 pm

Story
This beautiful boy is named Copper. A Beagle mix (with Basset, perhaps?), he's a year old and weighs 18 pounds. He probably won't grow much more. Typical of a Beagle, Copper's short coat is tricolor, and his eyes are deep, chocolate. His foster says that Copper is timid, sweet, and friendly, all rolled up into one wonderful dog! Story
Lower Fee! Bocephus is an uncommon name for a pet, isn't it? Its origin is Alexander the Great's horse, and it signifies loyalty, strength, and nobility. These characteristics are ones of the heart and soul, not the body. A bit overweight at 28 pounds, clearly our 7-year-old Beagle mix is not in fighting shape (thank heaven). We know he has to lose a few pounds, but he'll never lose who he is, a dog who gets along well with other dogs and with people, a dog who has the heart of a true Beagle. (posted 2/9/25, ME) Lower Fees: Adoption Fee: $150.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Story
He has a unique old boy dog type of attitude. Yet, I did say boy so at any given time he might a burst of energy, which is fun to watch. He loves hiking and sniffing everything. Wrangler is his name but sleeping is his game. He is Beagle Mix 9.5 years old perhaps even 10 by now. Adopted him from RAWL- Rappahanock Animal Welfare League almost 10 years ago. He is friendly with other dogs yet quite submissive with dominating dogs. He gets along with many other animals and warms up to humans and he's okay with older children as long as they are not too high energy, such as the little munchkins, which he is not keen on. He never had any issues with his pet sitters while we were on vacation. Actually, all of them wanted him and loved him because he doesn't bark and because of his quiet-warm personality. He is neutered and is up to date with his vaccines. He is typically okay to be left alone for about 1-4 hrs. more than that he gets anxious. He is house trained but needs 2-3 potty time.

Story
Hi everyone my name is Gretchen and I am a three to four-year-old purebred Beagle girl that weighs 35 lb and I found myself homeless in a small town in Tennessee. People said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belonged to. The shelter found Critter Cavalry Rescue to take me and I am looking for a home with a retired man because Critter Cavalry has found that I probably was abused by a woman.  I can be nice to them but I don't want to live with them.   They intimidate me and I am truly very fond of a man's attention.  I am good with other dogs and can hang out with and be best friends forever. I love people and I am friends with every dog and cat that I meet. As you can see, I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. No one knows much about me except that I have a sweet smile, a great personality and I love people that let me snuggle with them. I promise that I will be your cuddly snuggle bug and your best friend forever. I am looking for a Beagle loving home. I would welcome children as a part of my life and I can live with other dogs and even cats. They have tested me with everything and said I'm pretty perfect. If you are interested please write immediately to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

Story
This precious purebred Beagle girl just turned 10 years old and for the last 9 years this girl was a girl who was used as a taste tester dog for a dog food manufacturer.  In October of 2023 this girl was adopted with the great hopes of giving her the many last years of her life a new life with a family who could provide that special home she never has had.  For 15 months all was going well for her.  A quiet girl that weighs 22 pounds and is very petite for a Beagle, she learned how to be loved and give love right back.  She lived with another dog and went to work some days with her mom.  Coffee Bean was all set until a new baby entered the home and then her world changed.  She shut down and retreated and hid from her human mom and dad there in the home.  It was apparent that this girl was sadly not comfortable with a baby in the house.  This loving couple can see that Coffee Bean needs to find a different home soon so that she can readjust and find peace and quiet.  She is so very affectionate and sweet and we think that CB would be the delightful companion for a retired couple or woman who lives alone and wants to have Coffee Bean as her new best friend!  She does well with male dogs, but with female dogs she will have issues if they are bigger than her (smaller breeds are fine). She is not 100% housebroken but has few accidents and we want to be clear on that.  She lived in a kennel for 9 years and so she was not required to be housebroken 100%. She rarely has an accident! She's done well to tolerate the cat and should be fine with another cat if required.  We envision a home where someone is home a lot or can take this girl with them places.  She craves the companionship and will not do well being home alone for long hours while someone is away at work.  A  retired family where she could be a couch potato and a nice yard for her to do her beagle running and sniffing would be fabulous.  She is not a frequent barker, just the usual alerts when someone is at the door or a squirrel has entered the yard uninvited.  She just loves everybody and wants nothing but pets and cuddles!  This lovely girl is gentle and very soft in her personality with people. She is not demanding and loud and just wants a more peaceful life during her senior years.  We project another good five years or more are in her future.  Want to invite this girl into your world?  Just email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  She is ready NOW!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 8, 2025, 1:25 pm

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/14179Name: ForkyGender: MaleBreed: Beagle MixAge: Estimated 5 years oldWeight: 27 poundsCurrent Location: Baltimore, MDPersonality: Forky is a fun boy who loves playing with toys, chewing bones, and receiving snuggles. Special Considerations: Forky would thrive in a home where he can have a mix of physical/mental stimulation as well as downtime. While he is not overly loud, he certainly has that Beagle howl when he feels like letting out his voice. He is a curious boy, so it is a good idea to have eyes on him until he understands the rules. He prefers not to share his most delicious food items with other pups.Companionship: Forky is a wonderful companion for both humans and pups. He is happy to simply coexist or play with the dogs around him. Training and Learning: Forky loves being outside on walks and overall has good leash manners with some pulling. He does like to say "hello" when he sees another dog across the way. He is working on perfecting his potty training, and overall does well during the crate, both during the day and overnight, after some initial barking. He is working on basic commands such as "sit." He is a curious boy who needs supervision at this time, but can hang out in his crate with a kong or another treat if you need to get some things done around the house.Love and Affection: Forky enjoys snuggling on the couch close to his humans, and he lives for getting his head scratched. It is clear that he wants to be loved.Forky is looking for his forever home where a new family will cherish his sweet personality and companionship. He arrived to MD on 1/31 from AL - stay tuned for updates as his foster family learns more about him. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable.
