COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for BOLT. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Meet Bolt – Your Big, Lovable Goofball! If you’re looking for a gentle giant with a heart full of love, Bolt is your guy! This 110+ pound German Shepherd mix has a sweet, silly personality that will keep you smiling. Whether he’s zooming around the yard with his back feet trying to outrun his front ones or flopping down for a nap on the couch, Bolt is a perfect mix of playful and laid-back. Bolt loves to play with balls and sticks when he's out in the yard. His dream would be a securely fenced yard where he can run and explore. He knows his basic commands such as sit, lay down and jump-especially when treats are involved! Bolt does great around female dogs and would thrive with a doggie companion. He enjoys the company of older, calmer children. One of his favorite activities is being brushed. Once you brush one side, he will turn around for you to do the other. Bolt would do best in a home with strong, confident owners who can continue his training and give him the love he deserves. A large yard where he can stretch his legs would be ideal, and a friendly canine buddy would make his heart happy. He’s best suited for a home with older children who understand his size and strength. Bolt is ready to find his forever home where he can be loved, trained, and cherished. If you’re looking for a big, lovable companion who will bring joy and laughter to your life, Bolt is waiting for you!    Interested in adopting? (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. February 25, 2025, 4:55 pm

Story
Coco is approximately 2 years old. We found her abandoned on the side of the road when she was about 9 weeks old. She currently resides in a large apartment with her mom, her 3 year old Aussie sister and two pre-teen/teens. She is very affectionate and loves to be around her people. She knows how to fetch, sit, and lay down. She loves to play and she is very communicative. She is eager to please and loves attention. Coco is a dearly loved girl. Her challenges are that she is reactive, anxious and easily distracted. She is averse to brushing and nail trimming. She is very strong, goal oriented and food motivated. This is why I cannot recommend her to a home with small children. She would thrive with an experienced dog owner, and a life that offers plenty of attention and activity. She is currently taking fluoxetine for her anxiety/hyperactivity. I am moving cross country in two weeks. The new desert environment will be hard for her. Please give her a good home. She deserves it so much.

ADOPTION FEE WAIVED with APPROVED APPLICATION. www.safehaventn.com Chester is a striking GSD mix, about 3 years old and 60 lbs. Chester is extremely smart and high energy. We are looking for a home for him who has experience with the breed, and know they need both physical and mental stimulation to help balance out their energy. You must have at least a 6’ high physically fenced yard. No kids under 12 due to his energy level is preferred. He is currently in an indoor / outdoor run. He is current on vaccines, preventions and has been neutered and hw negative. He is a sweet dog who needs some training and guidance. It is clear that no one spent much time with him when he was a pup, but he is a great dog and deserves a chance to be the best pup he can be !! Looking for that special family that sees his potential and is willing to put in the work to help him be the amazing dog he is. If you think you can be that family for Chester, please fill out our adoption application on our website at www.safehaventn.com . We are happy to set up a meet and greet for the approved application. His adoption fee is waived and he is being fostered in Cookeville, TN.
