Story
Meet Spencer!  Spencer is searching for a place of his own to relax and unwind. Spence is a handsome sable-colored German Shepherd mix born roughly 3/16/22, and weighing  in around 65-70lbs. Although he is big and his size can be intimidating, Spencer is really more of a sensitive soul inside. He prefers a quiet, calmer environment to a loud and active scene, and would be happy to be someone's couch companion. He does very well with other dogs, and wouldn't mind having a furry brother or sister in his new home. Of course, if you already have any dogs we always require a meet and greet before sending any pups home. Spencer also doesn't mind cats. If anything, they are a little intimidating to him, so a home with those would be fine for him too. Spencer is a very smart boy, he is starting to respond to his name, walks well on a leash, and knows the "sit" command.  At this time, Spencer is only available for fostering as he has some minor medical issues we are working to correct. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call or come by our facility to chat. ##1997784##

Story
Meet Hank! This hunk of love is ready for a family of his own. Hank is a handsome German Shepherd mix with an estimated birthday of 06/01/2020. He weighs in at a healthy 60-65lbs, and is a fluffball full of love. Hank sports a unique colored coat, he's a stunning brown and tan beauty! He has the manners of a true gentleman, too, and will win your heart on a whim. He has basic obedience down pat, he knows "sit", walks well on a leash, and has begun responding to his name, too. Hank has done well with everyone he's met of all ages here, and would do very well in a home with kids. He has the natural loyalty that is common in shepherd mixes, once you earn his affection he will always stand up for you! Although he has done well with other dogs here in short meetings, we truly believe he would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Hank has not yet been tested with cats.  Hank is fully vetted and microchipped, but not yet neutered. His adoption fee is $175 + a refundable $75 neuter deposit.  Interested? Story
Meet Griffin! Hey, my name is Griffin! My friends call me Griff or Griffy. I am a German Shepherd mix, and I was born 06/01/2022. I had kind of a rough start, to be honest. I spent the start of my life fending for myself and living in the woods, until a nice guy from Animal Control got me and brought me to the shelter. I was really really sick, too. I was missing most of my fur, and my paws were swollen up like balloons. They took me to this place called the "vet", and I didn't like that very much, but they told my new family at the shelter what was going on with me. They said I had something called "demodex", which was what caused me to loose all my fur, and my feet were all swollen because my body was so infected. From then, we started my treatment plan, which I wasn't a big fan of, but I got lots and lots of treats! I had to get these special baths like twice a week for ages, and they gave me these little meatballs that had special treats inside of them to get rid of my infection. I don't really like the baths, but man did my skin feel better after a few. After I spent some time at the shelter, I went into foster with this pretty cool family for a while. They had other dogs for me to play with, and cats too! They were really nice and gave me lots of love and care, and they always told my friends at the shelter what a good boy I was. They had these smaller people in their house though, they called them "kids" and "young teenagers", whatever that means. They were kind of intimidating to me, I'd much rather just be around the full-grown people than the smaller ones. Honestly, I can be a little shy with most people, I'm still adjusting to the idea that people want to love me and take care of me. I think I'd be happiest in a home with just one or two people who I can really really love a lot, instead of having to split my attention to several people. There's only so much of me to go around, you know? If you really want to be my friend, I still go absolutely nuts for snacks. I can't help myself around a good treat! My skin is doing so much better, and my fur is pretty much all grown back, but I still prefer to eat my special food for sensitive skin. It's so yummy and keeps me so soft! I can definitely appreciate a good toy or two, and don't get me started on comfy beds to nap on. I think I'd prefer a family with at least one other doggy friends to play with, but I'd need to meet them before I went home witht them. Griffin is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175.  Interested? Call 615-446-7387.  ##1886795##
