Story
Marvin is a sweet middle- aged boy who is looking for a patient person who will take things slowly and help him build confidence. He’s been getting braver by the day here at the shelter and would love to continue his journey in a home! Here’s what some of his volunteer friends have said:“Marvin takes time to warm up to people, but after a few outings, he now greets me with a wagging tail and even accepts light petting.”“We took Marvin and his kennelmate out twice this week and he did great! He was sitting pretty, waiting for me to leash him up. Easy to leash and he even enjoyed some ear rubs! I`m so proud of Marvin overcoming his fears.”Marvin is a gentle, sensitive dog who needs time to feel safe, but who has a big heart to share once he does. He’s made great progress in the shelter and will do well in a home with someone who understands his needs and can go at his pace.Marvin does great sharing his kennel with another PACC pup and may benefit from a calm, confident furry friend who can show him the ropes in his future home. Please ask about Marvin today!

Story
Fox is a stunning young pup with only one thing on his wish list this year- a furever home with a loving family! While he enjoys playing with his kennelmate and walking with volunteers here at the shelter, he’s dreaming of a home and family of his own.Fox’s former owner had him for six months and he was reported to be good with small dogs, housebroken, and crate trained. He was described as an affectionate and playful boy who loved toys and walked well on leash.Fox’s volunteer friends love him and think he should definitely get his wish!“What a handsome guy! Fox is a playful guy with legs for days! Fairly easy to leash, and he loves running around the yard with his kennelmate. He`s super smart and is learning good manners quickly.”Fox shares his kennel with another PACC pup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re looking for a playful pup to brighten up your days, come meet sweet Fox!

Story
Joseph is a beautiful young Malinois who needs a foster or adopter who can help him heal after a needed fracture repair. He is a favorite of clinic volunteers, with one sharing the following:“Joseph is a 1-year-old Malinois who is post right radial fracture repair (right front leg). Joe is an energetic young dog with an injury that is requiring limited activity in order to heal well. Typical of his breed, Joseph is bright, intelligent, friendly, and receptive to learning. Prior to his surgery, Joseph was able to do more walking on leash and my observations were that he was a good leash walker, did not pull, and was not leash reactive towards other dogs. I did note on several occasions that he did alert/bark when he noticed another person walking behind us. Joseph can be mouthy when excited and attempting to elicit play. He is easily discouraged and verbally corrected with a firm “off” or “down”. Joseph loves toys, Kongs, and any type of enrichment to keep him occupied. I think the biggest challenge for an adopter or foster will be to keep him occupied while he is activity restricted. He is incredibly affectionate and should do well with a patient person that can help him heal and provide him with some structure, consistency, and love. This is a wonderful young dog and one of the most sociable Malinois I have ever met.”Belgian Malinois are known for their high energy, intelligence, and strong work ethic, making them excellent working dogs, but they can also be protective and reserved with strangers, requiring early socialization and consistent training, as well as proper introductions to new people. Joseph will thrive in a patient, breed savvy home with a family who understands his needs. Joseph is friendly, sweet, and loves belly rubs! He has appropriately greeted other dogs when introduced but has limited exposure due to his injuries. Please ask about Joseph today!!
