Story
Tex was a Miami Dade Animal Shelter survivor from the euthanasia list. He had a home for two years where he enjoyed hikes, car trips around the country, a furry companion. Then sadly, his owner lost her home and Tex lost his family. He started acting out and his owner couldn't handle him anymore. Tex is getting the best training to deal with his issues and is doing amazing! Tex has been through a lot and deserves someone who will continue with his training. He's a great boy!

Story
Although she is somewhat shy with strangers, Mieli has been coming out of her shell as she experiences new people and places. She is progressing consistently meeting new people as long as it's done calmly and slowly. This brindle beauty is eight years young and loves long walks, enjoying quieter places without lots of activity and commotion. Although she walks well on leash, it is suggested to use a harness which gives her added security and also helps the handler with any potential pulling. She adores car rides and soft music and would make a great long-distance traveler. She is very food motivated and is learning to sit patiently as she shows off her silly one sided smile anticipating that special treat. Once she trusts you, she will be a faithful companion and will adore snuggling up by your side and getting tummy rubs. She loves to watch you with her soulful eyes and the tip of her tail moves joyously when you speak to her. If you are interested in meeting Meili and watching the light beam from her eyes, please fill out an adoption application (no commitment) at Satchelslastresort.org.

Story
Jagger is high energy and needs space to run and play to burn that energy. He is crate trained and has been professionally trained for basic commands (sit, down, stay and place (he struggles with), understands "no". He will come with all training collars. He is better suited for a 1-2 person home as he doesn't understand his size, is protective and attaches to only 1-2 people. Jagger is super sweet and loves attention, he will chase a ball all day if he could or swim (loves to run and jump into the pond). We have had issues with aggression towards strangers, but once he is allowed to "meet" someone he usually calms down. He has a hard time with cars or anything with wheels, unless he is getting into the car to ride. His special needs are his anxiety, the Malinois breed is known for this and he circles a lot, his is especially strong as he spent his first year in a shelter. He is now about 2 (Feb/Mar 2025).

Story
Rumble is a ball of positive energy. He is one happy 7 month old puppy looking for a family that will teach him manners and boundaries, play with him, and find their new best friend. He LOVES everyone he meets including other dogs. Due to his energy and lack of training it's best for him to go to a home with older children as he may knock littles down. We were told he is a Mal/Dutchie but there may be other stuff in there too.
