Story
Meet Mallory, a stunning Belgian Malinois Mix born in July 2017. Mallory has faced challenges in the past that have made her cautious around people, but this has only made her more appreciative of those who show her kindness. While she may take some time to build trust, her loyalty and intelligence shine through once a bond is formed. Mallory is open to the idea of sharing her forever home with a furry companion or two, with the condition that introductions are done thoughtfully to ensure a harmonious living situation for all. While she welcomes the company of dogs, Mallory prefers to be the sole focus and would thrive in a household without human or feline siblings. Are you prepared to embrace this bright and perceptive girl into your family? Take the first step by submitting your application today and discover the true meaning of loyalty! All dogs adopted through Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue receive the invaluable benefit of lifetime free behavior training from our skilled Positive Reinforcement/Relationship-based trainers. For a seamless and successful transition, Mallory will be enrolled in training sessions at the time of adoption and will continue with scheduled sessions post-adoption to ensure her continued growth and well-being. The suggested adoption donation for Mallory is $250. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Snoop Dogg is a well trained and super smart dog.  He is a Belgian Malinois and almost 5 years old (b. Aug 2020).  He is crate trained, housebroken and leash trained.  He knows some commands and LOVES to play fetch!  He enjoys being active and needs a fenced yard.  Snoop Dogg is a little shy around people and is sometimes scared of children.  Snoop Dogg gets along with cats as well.  He would probably do better in a home with older kids (age 12+).  Keep an eye on the front door when letting visitors in because he believes an open door is an invitation to check out the neighborhood on his own.  Snoop Dogg does not like to share his toys and he will need his own space or area for eating meals. As is common with this breed, Snoop Dogg craves activity and he is protective of his people.  It would be helpful if you are familiar with this breed.  He believes he is a lap dog and wants nothing more than to have your attention.  He is very obedient and well trained.  He will let you know if anyone comes near the door or house.  Apply now to adopt this AMAZING dog! The suggested adoption donation for Snoop Dogg is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Needs a more suitable home as soon as possible. It’s not her fault. Loving, goofy, energetic, house trained. Uses a crate and does well on a leash. Will follow you everywhere, eager to play and please, loves to sleep with her human. Will drape across your legs while you use the bathroom, eat bath bubbles, attempt to put multiple toys in her mouth at once, steal everyone’s bones when they’re not looking and run around the yard. Loves a cheap blanket. Hides in her crate if she thinks she’s in trouble or getting meds. Good with my kid. She is a good dog but the older ones don’t appreciate her energy. They get fed up, gang up on her & she gets hurt. Despite attempts, I haven’t been able to change their behaviors & I’m afraid she’ll end up seriously hurt just because she wants to play. Unknown if she’s just a small shepherd or mixed. It’s slowly progressing so I’ll have to surrender her if she’s not adopted here. She doesn’t deserve that.
