Story
Do you LOVE playing fetch with a dog who can do that all day? How about finding a new jogging partner? That’s me! I’m Akre, a handsome fellow and devoted ball-enthusiast. I’m not as wild as I was in my younger days, but still an athletic guy who likes hikes. Did I mention that I also love food? I’m happy to work for it, either as we brush up on my obedience training or while solving food puzzles in my downtime. I’m happy to meet and greet your human friends, as long as they don’t find my bouncy excitement intimidating! I’m pickier about my canine friends, and prefer female dogs to other male dogs. If you have another dog in your household, set up a time with the staff to bring them, and I’ll inspect them to see if I can give them my Malinois seal of approval. If you want to meet me, call 607-257-1822 to set up a visit. (Adoption category: Purple)

Story
Hello over there, I’m Bori. Give me a few minutes and I’ll creep over your way. Meeting new people is pretty stressful to me, but I know I need to do it in order to meet my new family! Maybe we can all go for a hike together? I like exploring nature and finding cool new things to sniff. My favorite treat is Pupperoni, so maybe you can bring that on our walk? Once I feel a little braver I’ll eat some. I’m kind of a homebody, happiest hanging out in my yard with my closest friends, and I’m hoping for a new human who feels the same way. With my friends, I can show my goofy side and revv up for some rambunctious play. In my last home, I lived with a dog I didn’t like, so if you have a dog already, chat with the shelter staff about setting up a meet here to start us off on neutral territory. If you would like to meet me, call 607-257-1822 to set up a visit. (Adoption category: Purple)

Story
This is Gator , he is a very high energy working dog. He is trained in basic obedience and some basic detection skills. Gator is a loving dog and loves attention. Gator doesn’t seem to get along with other male dogs and I am looking for a home where Gator would be the only dog. I would like an experienced and active owner. Gator needs regular exercise and room to run. He will stay in your yard and close to you off leash! He is an amazing dog and it truly pains me To put him on here. Between my work schedule and constant traveling for kids sports Gator is not getting the attention he needs and deserves.

Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Rainier You can probably guess that when I was found and rescued it was raining, it was! However, I was named after the gorgeousness that is Mount Rainier :) I have the highlights and lowlights of the mountain on a sun-cloudy day :) I have a driven personality, not unlike my breed. I am a very medium sized dutchy shepherd and possibly have Belgian Malinois in me as well........and you must KNOW and LOVE the breeds. I make super arm candy, if you will exercise me (and my brain) we will be besties for life! Currently I am living my best life running around green fields of grass with my big radar ears charged and ready to go! You best believe I can hear everything! Better open that bag of treats as quietly as possible or I'll come running in! And I can actually hear you open your laptop to apply to adopt me! HURRY!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
